Publisher's Summary

From New York Times best-selling author Meghan March comes a new deliciously dangerous alpha hero in The Fall of Legend, the first book in the brand-new and utterly addictive Legend trilogy.

We come from two different worlds.
I’m from the streets. She might as well live in an ivory tower.
I made my living with my fists. I doubt she could even throw a punch.
Our paths never should have crossed.
We never should have met.
That doesn’t change the facts.
I would sell my soul to taste those red lips.
Fight the devil himself to hear her laugh.
Burn in hell to have a single night.
Scarlett Priest shouldn’t even know men like me exist, but sometimes temptation is stronger than will.
If this is how I go down, it’ll be worth every second of the fall.

Let me tell you...

Okay, this book may not have been the most exciting, exhilarating or heart pounding book I’ve ever read. However, the reviews that diss this book are unfounded in my opinion. This is the first in a TRILOGY...not a complete novel. This book may not have brought out all the emotions in me or had me completely on the edge of my seat, but it was entertaining in its own right. It was obviously the first book in the series, had enough foundation to grab ones interest and was the start of something big...not the conclusion. The reviews that saw it as less than stellar aren’t taking in the fact that this was merely the beginning. I’m not sure I understand those reviewers that alluded they couldn’t think of where this story could possibly go from here. There’s so many ways this story can continue and plenty of potential twists and turns. Gabe’s past adversaries are one factor, then you have Scarlett’s ex and the fact that both of them are well-known (celebrities) in their own rights...plenty of potential difficulties, mysteries and love conquers all situations left in this story and Meghan March definitely has my attention. This story is what it is...the beginning of something much bigger and more intense...we’re just getting started and I can’t wait to see where the rest of the story goes ❤️

MEGHAN, MEGHAN, MEGHAN.. YOU ARE THE LEGEND

I don’t usually start trilogies until all books are out.. and I knew going in this was going to end on a climactic cliffhanger.. nevertheless I still dived straight in because the pull of Meghan’s stories are so strong any resistance on my end would be entirely futile. Meghan’s books are always so absolutely addictive, have all-consuming palpable chemistry, have an interesting multi-layered plotline and an intense budding romance that deliciously oozes sexual tension. And wow, this awesome first slice of Gabriel and Scarlett’s slow-burning firsts proves that this talented author certainly knows what’s she doing when it comes to complex characters that hook you in from the start, building gleeful giddy anticipation and setting the stage for a thrilling, complicated and potentially dangerous rollercoaster ride.

Worth a credit? OMG yes. A damaged man from the wrong side of the tracks, a feisty socialite with emotional baggage and colorful secondary characters mix, mesh and make this an exciting start to the trilogy. With fantastic dual PoV narration by Erin and Joe bringing the story to life.. and I loved.. loved.. loved ever single sizzling second.

Annoying Female Voice

I can’t stand the way the female narrator draws out the last syllable of words (whisperrrrrr). It’s very annoying. I try avoiding books she narrates, but I love Meghan March, so I deal with it. But I honestly think her reading effects how I view the whole book, because I didn’t love this story like I have others.

Slow Slow Slow

First I love Meghan March. I buy all of her books. I also love these narrators. This book was so slow. So much character development and really didn't go anywhere. I will listen to the other two but I am having a hard time figuring out where this story is going for two more books. This is hard to write because I have loved her other books so much.

Opposites attract romance

I’ve been eyeing this trilogy for some time and thought I’d jump on the bandwagon before book 2 releases in a matter of hours.

This is a story of opposites attract. Gabriel Legend was born with nothing and earned his money as a fighter until he raised enough money to open his own club and promised himself to never take another fight.

Scarlett Priest is a socialite. The woman all women want to be. And the woman all men want to date. So when she goes somewhere everyone else goes there too.

In a very unconventional way Scarlett is convinced to help Gabriel get his club back to the elite position it used to be in. Along the way, temperatures between the two start rising. But, watch out with a trilogy....you know this is gonna leave you on that cliffy!

Joe and Erin are AMAZING

I consider myself a die hard Meghan March fan, so this is going to be painful to write. I am underwhelmed by the first book in this trilogy. The narrators did an amazing job with the performance. Meghan is the queen of cliffhangers and the ending fell flat to me. The pace is definitely slower than her previous work. Maybe I hyped it up too much in my mind. I hope it picks up in House of Scarlett.

I can't wait for the next!

Meghan March never fails me. Her books are the perfect blend of alpha-male, sexiness, strong females, and unputdownable storylines. She is one of only 2 or 3 authors that I will read books in a trilogy as they release instead of waiting. And I’m so glad I read The Fall of Legend , because I can’t wait for House of Scarlett.

When Scarlett wakes up realizing she has been kidnapped, she vows to do whatever is necessary to get out alive. What she doesn’t expect to see is a gorgeous hunk of man-meat who needs her to save his a$$.

Gabriel Legend was an underground fighter turned legit after sinking every penny he and investors had into a hot new nightclub. On grand opening night, there was a big shooting, effectively killing the club. Nobody wants to go back. Scarlett Priest is a social media influencer. Born into money, desperate for a connection with her father, her life isn’t as perfect as her glamorous image depicts. Gabriel knows that all she has to do is come to his club a few times and show it on social media, and he may be able to bring the club back into the black.

Gabriel and Scarlett have an immediate incendiary connection. She has a crappy boyfriend and he knows that she is out of his league, but that doesn’t stop either one of them from wanting the other.

“Stop f***ing staring at her legs, man. That p*$$y might be gold-plated, but it’s not for you.”

This book was a little different than most other Meghan March books in that Gabriel Legend wasn’t really as much of an a-hole as most of her alphas are at first. It also moved a little slower. Don’t get me wrong, I still enjoyed it! But after the initial kidnapping, it was more getting to know the characters than action, but it really picked up in the last third and I want more NOW.

Likes:
•It is a little different than her other books.
•Gabriel is a bad boy with a good heart.
•He is far from cocky.
•As always, Meghan March leaves me dying for more.

Dislikes:
•A little slow in the middle.

The Narration:
With two of my favorite narrators, Erin Mallon and Joe Arden were amazing, as always. Erin Mallon does the male parts so well!

The Down & Dirty:
I can’t wait to see how the famous society girl and the elusive street fighter come together! Once again, Meghan March has me waiting on the edge of my seat for the next in a delicious and sexy trilogy. I can’t wait to read the next two!

Rating: 4 Stars, 3 heat (I can tell, this will go up in the next book!)

Ridiculous, absurd

Crap...crap...crap. Absolutely ridiculous storyline. How did this get published? After 10 minutes of listening, to retain my sanity I had to send back.

SLOW AS HELL!

It really saddens me to write this review, because M.M. Is one of my top 5 authors and her novels are usually so good. This story was very slow and boring from about chapter 2 until after around 20 which is bad because its 57 chapters long! I really didn't care for the female narrator either. The way she exaggerated her R's was so annoying very valley girlish. Scarlet was unimpressive in my opinion and I found her to be just BLAH. Loved the male character as always very alpha. I probably won't continue the series if I have to use a credit. I didn't find the story line to be interesting enough to continue even with a cliff hanger.

Terrible

Performances? as usual I've Joe Arden and he does not fail to impress. The story is decent but the author uses so many words tp describe something (I guess for the word count). it gets borrrrrringgggg. I guess the reason is that then she can sell more books because it is a trilogy. I am not going to buy the other 3. this one could have been read/listened in 5 hours tops.

Intriguing!

Wow! We’re off to a great start with this first of three book series.
Gabriel Legend is a hot as hell, rough around the edges, dark character with an intriguing past. Scarlett Priest is drop dead gorgeous and so far out of his league. But it doesn’t stop him wanting her. Or needing her help.
The narrators are fantastic and I can’t wait for more!

Another epic story from the queen of trilogies

ARC received for an honest review
Meghan March done it again. She truly is the queen of trilogies & duets. What an incredible start to I know will be another epic trilogy. The first book did not disappoint, I did not want this book to end. I will just have this book on repeat on my kindle and audible until the House of Scarlett comes live.

Can’t wait for the next book!

Usually I avoid this female narrator as the exaggerated drawl frustrates me but this time it wasn’t so bad and other than this her expression is great. Male narrator has a beautiful deep voice.
Story- intriguing. Lots of build up of story line in this book setting it up for next one. Sexual chemistry between characters great. Is a short book, again have avoided March’s books for last year as really all three parts are so short could be one book. But I have given this time in bc I like March’s stories and I have a few book credits built up. Listened to this book within a couple of days ! Can’t wait to read the next one!!

Wow

Not sure how I felt about this one. The storyline was great, but the repetitiveness of information slowed the story for me. Still excited to read the next one.
Narration was awesome.

Poor editing and not MMS best

Not up to the usual standard of Meghan March. Most trilogies I’m so excited to listen to and usually can’t hold out til they’re all out so am awaiting the next instalment for a.month. I his one is just not such a gripping story as usual. Hard to say why. Characters and storyline aren’t as enticing. Also, there are sections of the male narrator where he’s clearly re-recorded it, in a different location and with different sound equipment. Odd and obvious.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVED IT!

Couldn't put it down, the story line is so intriguing, can't wait for the next two.

Looking forward to reading more about Legend's past, the little teasers just weren't enough!

And Scarlett, wow, she's amazing!

So happy Joe and Erin are the narrators, they're my favourites.
