Publisher's summary

What's this book about?

It's about the ancient mysteries of the Earth ravaged by mysterious entities from over the Edge. About the Black Moon hovering over the planet's one last remaining City and about its Legion created by Incarnators of old. About the Possessed warped by the power of primeval Darkness. About the Warriors, Enchanters, and Technomancers who once rose to defend humanity from the ancient evil.

And it's about a man stuck in the body of a young Legionnaire tribute, still continuing on his journey across the world in order to solve the mystery of his past and rediscover his purpose. And in order to do that, he first needs to survive the trip.

gets better and better

The Story about Gray and his ongoing progress to finding out who he is and what his purpose is as an enchanter continues with excellent imagery and great action. and no character is safe. Phil Thron is, as always, an amazing narrator and ideally suited for this storyline. well worth continuing to the next one!

Just great!

Hey a post apocalyptic litrpg with a reasonable alien tech factor. Just spend the credit.

The MC's lack of intelligence

As the title says, the main character has become so stupid and inept that the story was so painful to get through. There were many occasions, sometimes multiple times in a single chapter where information was given to the main character and then a literal minute later, probably on the same page if it was seen in the book itself, the character forgets that the was told or learned the information. Thus he makes illogical choices that by simply ignoring or forgetting the information he was told. He ended up in so many bad situations due to this; situations that could have easily been avoided.

I should say that despite this trainwreck of a story, the narrator did a good job.
