Publisher's summary

Ruwen returns home to discover a civil war he unintentionally ignited 18 months prior. Still haunted by the events on Savage Island, he resolves to rise above the specter of his past mistakes and seeks the counsel of loyal friends to avert a looming descent into tyranny.

Confronting the rebellion's leader, a mysterious Bard, Ruwen learns of a hidden depth to the universe, a secret entwined within the harmony that whispered to Ruwen during his Master's Trial but he failed to comprehend.

As Ruwen plunges into the mysteries of this cosmic symphony, the civil war's nefarious purpose unfolds: a trap shaped by godly hands to destroy him.

Ruwen’s survival hinges on unlocking harmony’s profound secrets, healing his damaged Core, and taking the first step to Divinity. Should he fail, the catastrophic consequences extend beyond his death, threatening to obliterate everything he loves.

Love it

This is what I want from either litrpg or progression fantasy. Great writing, lovable characters, comic relief, and some profound ideas to apply to my own life.

It feels redundant at this point to praise Travis Baldree, but yes of course the narration is as good as you’d expect.

Pacing was a touch fast

Thoroughly enjoyed the book but I wish that there had been more time spent in moments like the bar

A story worth following!

I originally came upon this book in search of a something just to listen to while I wait for Primal Hunter, and let me just say this “I do not regret this decision one bit!” The character building and the journey feels so natural and there is a whole world created that will just take you away and kidnap you as long as you’re listening! I have enjoyed all of the series in this journey and the narration and creation of this book definitely are a work of art!!

Doesn’t disappoint!

Another great book in the series and always leaves you wanting to know what happens next. Would have maybe preferred less time spent on the Worker’s drinking games / Band Ball and more on the overall story but understand the importance of finally bringing it into the book after talking about it for so long. Can’t recommend this book enough to others.

this one took some time to build up yet I was still able to see story progression as well as the reasoning behind the first half.
