Great travel book!

My boys loved it. We are in the car alot so and the movies just weren't cutting it. They would still end up arguing about someone kicking the screen or pushing buttons. So I got this book for them and they would get quiet and listen and just be content. Asking questions through out or commenting on parts of it. Overall I am very happy with it.

Classic

Absolute classic. I loved this book growing up and I read it with my son, while we listened to the audio. He enjoyed it completely.

My son loves it

I understand a lot reviewers are not crazy about the narrator, but my five year old son seems to like it. He loves this story, and has listened to it at least 5 times so far. So if you’re buying it for your child, just know the narrator might not bother them. It may even be the new favorite, like it is for my son. ( Although in our case, he listens at bedtime. I start it for him before I leave his room, so I don’t usually listen very long.)

Great Story

My mom read this series to my siblings and me when we were little. Listening to it with my grandson is wonderful.

My 5 year-old like it…

There are some that took issue with the narration. I understand their reviews but I didn’t have any problems with the narration; in fact, my son loved the story and the narration. We are on our third listen. My recommendation is to listen to the sample first as many others have suggested.

Classic Children’s Delight

My grandson of seven and I just listened to this story and enjoyed the children’s independence and mutual cooperation. It’s a mini adventure that I never tire listening to.

Great story

I love the story and I love how the narrator uses different voices for the characters my favorite voice was the bakers she sounded so grouchy and it really goes with her character

Good, but voices took away from the experience.

Great story for the kids to listen to. we watched the movie after listening to the book. I took off stars because I didn't care for the voices.

Oh to be a child again

The story is engaging and easy to follow along with a book. The fun the kids had makes me want to be a kid again. The children in the story have good values and I would rather my kids emulate their behavior.
