Good Story, but...
I loved the characters and the story. I thought the grandma would be annoying and campy, but it wasn't! It was a great addition. Now for the "but"... The racism was a bit much. Not all Muslims are terrorists. Muslims are not a country. Also, bikers are not all bad. I almost requested a refund. The only thing that saved the author was the narrator. I could listen to Kevin Pierce read me a grocery list, so I stuck with it.

Finally some representation
I like post appo...books. Born and raised in nor/cal...I can hardly recognize my home state. I got quiet a bit of satisfaction from this story line. The state of Jefferson, if only it could be! Good read.

Better than expected!
I don’t know what I was expecting, but I didn’t hold out for much. I’ve read a couple of other novels similar to this, but this one was by far the best I’ve read. I’m looking forward to starting the new series by the author.

Great Listen
Everyone is complaining about the sexual content.... hate to break it to you but that goes on today so... yes it's disgusting but it's a scary truth. I thought the story was adequate some things were a bit over done but definitely worth a read/listen. Preppers rule!

Legit series! I loved it!
I seriously have nothing negative to say about this! I've listened to dozens of books with Pierce as the narrator, but this was my first AJ Newman book. It was well thought out and very well developed! And unlike other series in the POST apocalyptic genre, this one has a clear ending! Very well done AJ Newman! Thank you

Enjoyable series
I think that the two narrators did a good job. I generally enjoy reading Post Apocalyptic
Fiction books and while this wasn’t the most s exciting, action packed PA series; it still has a good amount of action and I guess you could say, anxiety
I don’t know that the very last battle was necessary but it had a pretty good conclusion.
