Needed a good editor

Good story and characters. I'm having vision problems, and welcomed the chance to try an AI narrator. I was surprised at how listenable this was. But a sharper editor could have caught the mispronunciations in the first book so they wouldn't have been repeated throughout. (mostly in gun descriptions such as 30 dash zero 6 instead of 30 aught six, and cal read as calories instead of cartridge). Also "Hell of a .. " was pronounced hell- loffa. Minor error, but repeated inn all volumes.

The AI voice is just gawd awful for audiobooks

the voice is cool because we can get more audiobooks, but the big issue is there is no emotion, no annunciation, no personal connections from reader to listener. everything is so one tone. you wouldn't listen to an ad that has ai, why would you pay for a book to do so.

AI narrative

Story was good but AI narration is awful. No inflections whatsoever. Flat and hard to listen to.

Great story, terrible AI narrator and lazy/incompetent editors!

I'm thru the 1stntwo books and am enjoying the story. However the AI narrator is horrid!

Even basic things like 45 cal is being read as 45 calories not to mention other acronyms and people's names! Editors could have fixed it with a few hours work.

Virtual voice sucks

Great story but the virtual voice narrator is a joke. It mispronounces words it doesn’t put the emotion into the story.

Probably good

I got through the first two books, but just couldn’t do it anymore and it’s not because of the story. The story was actually pretty good even though I didn’t kinda have a hard time following. It seemed like there’s a lot of names and I just couldn’t even remember who people were but that’s not saying that’s anybody’s fault but my own. Or the fact that the virtual voice narrator sucked. I’ve never heard of a 50 calorie rifle. I understand it’s cheaper this way. You don’t have to pay a narrator I get that. I also get it. I’m sure there’s some artists out there who can’t afford to have their book narrated or something like that. I don’t know how it works honestly I’m not in the audiobook narration business. But I do know a narrator can make her break an audiobook and I guess we’re just not there yet with AI because not only is it clearly AI narrator not so much from the voice tone but from the way pronunciation is used and there’s just no feeling to it. I couldn’t audiobook narrator puts feeling and emotion and changes up the different voices if they want to this was not the case with this book. From this point on and refusing to purchase anything that has a virtual voice narration. The book itself seemed OK. I actually kind of enjoyed it,I just couldn’t handle it anymore. I don’t know if this is an audible thing, or a production thing or a whatever thing I do not know but it sucks, It just is not good.

Great story poor delivery

Story was excellent but the AI generated narration was horrible. Mispronounced words, misinterpreted, abbreviations, etc..

Story was good, AI was horrible, and should not be used, missed pronounced words, and no emotions in the telling of the story

AI reading wasn’t the best. Sounded unemotional and pronounced words incorrectly at times. Overall good story.
