An amazing ending to an amazing journey.

Hard ending with a bitter sweet sorrow to a journey that begun 9 books ago and culminates indeed to the sacrifice(s) the title promises.

An amazing book as expected by Peter Meredith and a recommended series to read or listen. A very good execution by Basil Sands as has been the whole series so far. Hope to see this collaboration between author and narrator continue to the next books.

Ugh! Wow!

Okay, first off the series has been great. Basil does a great job making each character come to life. Very impressed. Story line is good and realistic (as much as can be anyways). You really form an attachment to characters. 2nd..... is this the last book?!?!?! I mean I’m devastated right now! I do not want this to be the end. I want 2 people to somehow magically be at the island! I want to know if jillybean gets better!! Do you understand how much my heart breaks for her??? I get the losses are realistic, what would have likely happened had this been a real story, however..... how could you!?!? You can’t do that! But, it’s got to be a good book if you’ve been able to bring out REAL emotions in me...

Awesome awesome

emotional, gripping, and awesome. The title says it all...sacrifice. starts out like the plot to the other books, but quickly turns into a ride of a mental and emotional rollercoaster.

I don't want it to end.

I absolutely loved this series. I am so bummed that it's done I wish there was more I cannot get enough of Jillybean the whole thing. I want to see where it goes now that they've made it someplace better is it going to last. It doesn't seem like it's over, is it? What next? it's like everyone was a part of my life for so long now I'm not sure what I'm going to do I absolutely loved loved loved this series and I want more

The narrator was good but it should have been R.C. Bray the zombie book whisper.

Awesome series

This turned out to be one of my favorite series! I came really close to quitting on the first book because I didn't like the way it jumped from character to character but I'm glad I listened long enough for the first book to hook me. I ended up so invested in these characters that the last couple of books were hard to listen too at times, especially this last one with everything Jilly-Bean goes through. Great group of characters throughout the story. So is this the last one?

this was a great story and a great series

I would recommend this to anyone who likes a zombie story I loved every book in the series although if this is the last I felt a little cheated at the end but overall was still great there could be another but with the ending of this book there truly is no need

The girl that is Jillybean becomes any child left alone, scared and courageous in the undiscriminating world of depravity, hate, fear and destruction that is the Apocalypse. Captain Gray Sir, Mr. Neil , Sadie, Deanna, Emily and even Ipes just to name a few become a loved part of your family as you move through their rollercoaster journey. Each win, close call, daring escape, brilliant explosions, and painful loss is felt as if it was your own; so when they finally find their tattered happy ending you can't help but feel in your heart and through your tears as they cascade down your cheeks.

God Freaking DANGIT

I aint gonna lie. i thought book 9 ripped my heart out. BOY was I wrong! because book 10 just ripped the few remaining pieces i had out, stomped on them, put them in a blender, then formed the mush into a vague shape of a heart.
