He saves his cat Otis, but shoots his mom. Pretty , all things considered. Of course, his sanity takes a hit as a result.

Real, flawed, and raw, Dark Recollections is Adrian's own story of how he survived after "That Day". Told through his eyes as he talks to his laptop, affectionately named "Mr. Journal", and through short stories that entwine with his tales that bring forth dark visions of a world being eaten alive by an unimaginable evil.

AUD is an eight part epic about a solitary, guilt stricken man that didn't think he deserved to live, but realizes very soon that he survived, and suffered for a reason.

This collection contains Dark Recollections, Alone No More, Midnight, and The Failed Coward, four full-length novels following the end of the world as witnessed by Adrian Ring.

the narriator is awesome too just all around perfect!!!

I started reading AUD back when Chris first released it online and was delighted when I found the audio book. It is well written and the story remains as engaging as it was then.

Chris Philbrook is a phenomenal story teller. His stories caught me up immediately. James as the narrator brings the story to life like few others can. Thoroughly enjoyable. I'm glad that I purchased this omnibus. Kudos.

volume two

you need to set up a volume 2 it makes it nicer to listen to

The storylines were great. Never really a dull moment.
The narrator was fantastic. I wish there was a whole second volume, because I would listen to it in a heartbeat. :)

This audio now ranks up there in my top 5 ZA books.
Wit, humor, action, adventure, zombies .. really likable main character. When this ended, I about twisted my ankle running to get the next book. I'd write more about this but sorry, I need to get back to Adrian's zombie adventures. I'm brewing a hard crush on this character! Those 39 hours went far too quickly. Narration is really top notch.

Is was very happy with not only the performance but with the story. With all the end of world zombie books I have read (over 200) this was definitely one of the top 3. I definitely recommend you reading this book!!
