Publisher's Summary

This program also contains seven bonus radio transmissions from Pittacus Lore!

Until the day I met John Smith, Number Four, I'd been on the run alone, hiding and fighting to stay alive.

Together, we are much more powerful. But it could only last so long before we had to separate to find the others....

I went to Spain to find Seven, and I found even more, including a tenth member of the Garde who escaped from Lorien alive. Ella is younger than the rest of us, but just as brave. Now we're looking for the others - including John.

But so are they.

They caught Number One in Malaysia.

Number Two in England.

And Number Three in Kenya.

They caught me in New York - but I escaped.

I am Number Six.

They want to finish what they started.

But they'll have to fight us first.

Entertaining Story

I think I liked "The Power of Six" better, but this was still an entertaining story. We received a little more insight into the characters' personalities and their respective legacies, in addition to meeting another gaurde member. The last half of the book was pretty action packed too.

The love triangle/square that formed during the second book took a back seat in book three. I think that whole angle was a little unbelievable when you threw Sam in there. I'm not quite sure if the story line is dead or might revive itself later, but it didn't really come to a head. Certainly not in typical teenage girl fashion. Overall it was a very good story and I'm excited for the release of book four.

Huge disappointment

I liked first two parts and I was eagerly waiting for this one. This series held such a promise and this guy managed to mess it up. book was fine until about last third where writer got lost in the story. The end..... I'm trying to think of the word that would describe it and I'm coming out blank. It's aweful. Ruined the whole thing even if you forget about messed up story.

great story, cringe worthy female narrator

I read the first two books when they first came out. I forgot about the series until I saw this on audible. The story is even better than the first two. great to see the group coming together.
my only issue is that the female narrator who does the girls sounds cringe worthy when doing the child voice and outright racist doing the Indian male voice. I give her 1 star... everything else is 5 stars.

Good Teen Fun

This series of books is fun and entertaining, but there are quite a few cringe moments where you just want to yell at the characters to stop being such stupid teenagers lol.

Not bad for a series for adolescents

Pretty good narration, although sometimes Neil Kaplan tries a little too hard to be grandiose in fight sequences (which could be attributed to attempting to capture the personality of John in his narration).

What gets me, though, is the writing; specifically the misuse of "decimate". Decimate does not mean utterly destroy, that would be "annihilate", and a published group of authors should know that. And if they didn't, the editors should have. Every time a vehicle, helicopter, or group of enemies is "decimated" in this series, I cringe; as I know they don't mean 1/10 of said vehicle, helicopter or group of enemies has been eliminated.

Narration not smooth, good story

Good story. Male and female narration is a good idea but the vocal range of both narrators was not great. Many transitions in which narrator forgot to switch characters momentarily. A couple of the voice choices were odd/irritating, for example Marina often is whiny, which doesn’t match her character and 9 is read with this oddly gruff voice that sometimes sounds like he is a person who smoked for thirty years. The narration errors often distract from the story.
