Publisher's summary

How do you fix things when you're failing at every part of your life? Don't ask me.

I did okay in high school. I had friends, dated, even made decent grades thanks to my brainy twin sister. But now high school's over. It's time to be a man...if only I knew how. I couldn't live by my stepfather's rules, so I flew the coop and landed at my genetic father's, in Spain. A whole new country for me to screw up in. So of course, I did. After I'd burned through a second family, there was nowhere left for me to go. Maybe I was destined to wander the earth - me, the homebody. Seriously, world. The joke's over.

Halo Boy is the long-awaited spin-off to the Blaze of Glory trilogy.

Amazing

This book was a great book!! I loved the narrators voice!! This book shows the struggles that some of us have with not knowing where we belong. I couldn't stop listening. Would love to see another one where he connects with the other family better or maybe a baby sisters story!! Thanks so much for letting me listen and review

Very Heartfelt Story!💜

Very Heartfelt Story!💜

This is my first book by M. Garzon and I loved it. I thought it was funny, charming but also heartbreaking. The adventure of a young man who doesn’t believe in himself or that he truly belongs anywhere. I really enjoyed following him along on this fantastic adventure while he tries to figure out his purpose. I loved all the characters including the secondary characters. The narration by Steve Campbell was amazing. His ability to bring all these characters to life with all the feels and emotions is truly an art. His accents, particularly Irish was very good. I was in tears both in joy and in sadness. This book can be read as a standalone and has an HEA!
I highly recommend this book.

A wonderful addition to my collection

M Garzon creates memorable characters. There were times I wanted to smack Seth upside the head and yell, what were you thinking? and then others when I wanted to shout, way to go! Each one with depth that reveals both the good and the not-so-good, and I love their complexity. This book exposes the WHY of our decisions, and sometimes those answers are painful and hard (finding out why his dad wanted him to come to Spain, finding out why his step mom stays in her marriage...). There is a rare honesty to this book that made me look forward to a long car ride so I could indulge!

Steve Campbell IS Seth. He flawlessly performed the angst, confidence, flaws, and innocent wisdom of Seth. Bravo on the many accents required, and just good all around story telling. Steve truly performed the book.

Halo Boy is a must-read by M. Garson!

If you’ve read the Blaze books by M. Garson then you will love this one. It ties up the loose ends about Seth in an exciting and cliff-hanging conclusion. This is a great read and I hope she will write more about Seth and his family!

Halo Boy Review

I’m so glad we get to see more from Seth!! I love that boy.

After leaving the only home and family he’s ever know, Seth sets out to live with his birth father. However things aren’t always what they seem, and after arriving and making himself at home he finally meets his two half sister, whom he falls in love with. His step mother on the other hand doesn’t seem quite as welcoming to him, in fact she seem to dislike him.

Once a secret is reviled about his father, Seth sets out with some new friends on a road trip around Europe, Paris and finally Ireland.

After deciding he needed a job, he starts working on a horse breeding farm and soon discovers that he truly misses his family back in Canada.

I laughed and I cried. I really find Seth to be a lovably character, and thoroughly enjoyed seeing him grow in the series. I look forward to seeing more from the series.

An entertaining coming of age story

Halo Boy is an interesting coming of age story about a boy who is trying to find his path and getting to know his family. This story goes with the Blaze of Glory series, though it is about Seth, the brother. There are horses in the book, but the book doesn’t have much to do with horses until well into the second half, so if you’re reading it for the horses, you might be disappointed.

Contains mild sex scenes and sexual content. Recommended for older, mature teens, and adults.

The narrator of the book does a nice job bringing it to life.

I received a complimentary copy of this audiobook. This is my honest and voluntary review.

Even better than the series, if that is possible!

This is Seth's story, of the events from when he left to go to Spain, after fighting with Dec, yet again.
It is brilliant , due to the sensitivity caught and shown for someone who has lost faith in themselves, in their ability to cope and handle any given situation.
Life isn't kind, throwing the worst situations possible at this kid, and yet his empathy and caring nature shines through.
The narrator of the audio book does a fantastic job, with the characters brought to life through their voice characteristics.
Ms Garzon's had me hooked on "The Blaze of Glory" series. but the two companion books have blown me away.

Seth's Story

I love this touching book by M Garzon. Seth truly did some soul searching and wandering in this book to find his home. I loved how he realized what was important to him and to appreciate what he has. The narration by Steve Campbell was impressive with his realistic European accents and distinguishable character voices. What a talented performer he is! This book has so many emotions, heartwarming moments, and a great journey to coming home. I requested this review copy audiobook and have voluntarily written this review. I will definitely listen to more books by this author and narrator. This book is a standalone listen and connected other books by this author, Blaze of Glory and Look Twice.
