Publisher's Summary

The first book in a pulse-pounding new series that's set in the world of the New York Times best-selling I Am Number Four series. The war may be over - but for the next generation, the battle has just begun!

It has been over a year since the invasion of Earth was thwarted in Pittacus Lore's United as One. But in order to win, our alien allies known as the Garde unleashed their Loric energy that spread throughout the globe. Now human teenagers have begun to develop incredible powers of their own, known as Legacies.

To help these incredible and potentially dangerous individuals - and put the world at ease - the Garde have created an academy where they can train this new generation to control their powers and hopefully one day help mankind. But not everyone thinks that's the best use of their talents. And the teens may need to use their Legacies sooner than they ever imagined.

Perfect for fans of Marvel's X-Men and Rick Yancey's The 5th Wave, this epic new series follows a diverse cast of teens as they struggle to hone their abilities and decide what, if anything, they should do with them. This is a spin-off of the best-selling I Am Number Four series, and those familiar with the original books and newcomers alike will devour this fast-paced, action-packed sci-fi adventure.

Super impressed

When I read the summary of this book I wasn't sure it would be worth getting in to; however, I am so glad I gave it a shot. The characters are easy to follow and interesting. Don't worry, not all the characters are new, there are some old friends in here too.

Captivating

This was so good. Captivating plot line! The narrator captures the characters voices and personalities so well. I couldn't stop listening to it. I finished it in a week. It was amazing. Highly recommend

So So good.....The Writing man! The writting!

Where does Generation One rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

It's up there with say Rise of nine and Fate of ten. It's very different, hard to compare really.

What other book might you compare Generation One to and why?

Generation One vs Power of Six

Which scene was your favorite?

That would be a spoiler alert.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Both in parts.

Any additional comments?

Just an incredibly written book and start to the new book series.....I really loved it.

The Six......Ran, Nigel, Caleb, Isabella, Taylor, and Cupano.......The story telling....protaganist vs Antagonist. The revelations: How would you respond if a kid of yours got Legacies? What would you do? How would you feel? Very real world feel to this. Really sucked you into their lives, there backstories. Highly recommend if your a fan of the series.

Must Read!!

Great series. The cliff hangers at the end make it impossible for you not to continue. I love this series hurry up with book 2 please!

Loved it!

A continuations from where the main charters left off, the new ones are a force of their own. Better team work unlike the arrogance of 9, 5 and 4... the new team has better legacies. I think... hahahah. Can't wait for the lost files and more about "the foundation" 😇

Great series! Great reader!

Very impressed with the reader of this story. I have read the entire I Am Number Four series and most of the novellas and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for an epic adventure with comedy and a little romance for a well rounded tale. Wish I could develop a Legacy!

Reserving high remarks... story is still forming, a lot of grounds for improvements and plot twist :)

OK, but not near as good as the 1st series

I loved the "I am number four" series. I was hoping that this would be just as good, but I was disappointed. It has potential to get better as the series progresses, but I expected more.

Great continuation

At first I was a little concerned about a spin-off of the “I am number four” series. However they did a great job continuing the story.. very little of the previous characters, just enough to let you know they’re connected somehow.

I thoroughly enjoyed the new characters (plus some recently new) and how the story developed them.
Overall a great performance from the narrator.. He did a great job with different characters.
