The Handyman Method is a fun horror jaunt in the style of early Stephen King with lots of body horror and jump scares.

Quick and fun jaunt

I have read every book by Nick Cutter, and I have never been disappointed. always uniquely twisted and gory, this book was a blast. I listened during a long and stressful week at work, but the book helped to ease the pain and carried me through. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, hell there were parts where my uncontrollable laughter was heard ringing through the hallways of this building I am cleaning, especially the part where Milo was helping his old man out with the eaves. The narrator was spot on and the story was inspiring.... I just might need to get a whole new set of tools..... I will always read a Nick Cutter book!!!!!

Always well pleased with a Nick Cutter novel

I always love reading a new concept to the genre, and I already love each of cutters novels. Creepy, visceral, highly descriptive, and with all the bug/crewpycrawely/maggot ideas you expect from NC.
Win-win-win

Unique build and story, and very nick cutter

I’m addicted after listening to the Troop. Now, I’m listening to the Handyman Method and I just want to know if Nick Cutter has an issue with turtles? All jokes aside, phenomenal and spine chilling story telling and the narrator is perfect. 100/10

Does Nick Cutter hate turtles?

It started off pretty good, however it gets pretty muddled. The Plot kind of trods along and when something seems important like we might get some answers, there is none. The story has no clear direction.

Poorly executed ghost story

Maybe Nick kutter isnt for me. What’s with all the worm stuff in much of his writing. The entire story is not “fascinating”. It’s downright weird and depressing.

The beginning

Great fast listen. Love books like this. The Troop and The Deep are also amazing books!

This was quite a book from Cutter and Sullivan and it certainly leaned in to their strengths as horror writers. Its not redefining the genre or anything but it will certainly give those with darker tastes plenty to get sick on. Not for the faint of heart! There are a few horrifying descriptions of body mutilation in this book (I almost had to fast forward through the drain scene) but this is exactly what you go to a writer like Cutter for.

A solid twist and plenty of brutal horror
