The missing parts really bothered me

A beloved childhood favorite!
I read the complete series of Anne McCaffrey’s dragon books as a child/young teen. I grew up immersed in the stories and wishing I could truly visit Pern. It’s interesting to hear the characters narrated and the different ways the reader chooses to portray people. My only complaint is that she reads people in voices older than they are in the books making 50 year olds sound 80 or 90. It also took a bit to follow names and locations since how I pronounced them in my head were different. Overall it was a pleasant surprise to run across these stories again and I’m looking forward to hearing the rest of them.

Story is abridged
Didn’t realize this was going to be abridged. I haven’t read it this story for many years but I could tell that a lot of parts were missing. Made it frustrating to listen to.

Great Story
This is one of my all-time favorite series. My main criticism is that I had to slow the narration down to .8 in order to enjoy it, otherwise it sounded as if Alvin of the Chipmunks was narrating - not a pleasant experience.

Good, but incomplete
I love the book Series, and I enjoyed this audiobook version though it was a bit fast paced. , But be warned that a lot of bits and pieces got left out. If I hadn’t read the book before listening to this audiobook, I probably would’ve just thought well that’s a bit fast paced and over a bit quick but I read the book and I realize there were skips and time jumps that weren’t time jumps in the book, so just a warning to any future readers/listeners.
