A second chance stand-alone from small-town romance author Brooke Montgomery about a literary agent from NYC who returns to her Southern hometown and the cowboy high school sweetheart she left behind…

I fell in love with him when I was only fifteen—tall, handsome, and so damn charming—it was impossible not to. Years later, we got married, and I thought we’d have our perfect happily-ever-after.

But I wanted more than being his wife in a small mountain town, so I chased my dream job seven hundred miles away. I begged him to come with me, but he wouldn't leave his family's ranch.

Walking away and letting him go was the most heartbreaking thing I’ve ever experienced.

But then I meet someone new and he's everything I need—stability, mutual respect, and ambition. He's my second chance at love. When he proposes, it’s a no-brainer to tell him yes.

There's just one little problem… I'm still married to my high school sweetheart, who refuses to sign the divorce papers. Even worse? I never told my fiancé. Now I have to return to Willow Branch Mountain, find my ex, and demand he sign them.

When I show up at his door and he slams it in my face, I know he's not going to make it easy—especially when those old feelings resurface and I’m left making the hardest decision of my life.

Take My Name is Book 1 in the Willow Branch Mountain interconnected series. Each one ends in a happily-ever-after with a hook into the next one and although you don’t have to listen to them in order, you’ll get a better listening experience if you do.

This is the story of Warren and Maisie. These two have a history. They have been married before but had separated. Now Maisie is engaged to someone else and needs Warren to sign their divorce papers. They just had never gotten it done but now she needs it done. However, when she gets to town to accomplish this he has a proposition for her. Give him seven days to remind her why they fell in love and what it use to be like between them. He also is going to make sure that she is not making a mistake with this other guy. I really loved listening to this story. I could really go on and on about it but I don't want to give away the story. I actually listened to this book in one go. I was so hooked on these characters and the will they give each other and their marriage a second chance that I couldn't put it down. The narrators did such an amazing job with this book that it plays like a little movie in your head while you're listening. This is a book you do not want to miss.

The narrators were FANTASTIC!!! Loved how they brought the characters and world to life. As for the story itself … I am so in love with this new series. I loved the character development, the twists and the angsty angst. Maisie and Warren were amazing. Warren is the ideal book boyfriend. He is loving, warm hearted and everything book boyfriend fantasies are made of. As for Maisie she is my hero. She bravely stepped into the world on her own and built herself. Loved her. Though she does have some issues with her mom that were infuriating. The spice was very slow burn to start, but it had to be given where are characters were and all they were dealing with. Definitely heated up towards the end.

Overall a solid start to the Willow Branch Mountain series. I am excited about what is to come next.

Take My Name is such a cute and sweet romance that is reminiscent of Sweet Home Alabama.

💜Small town romance
💜Married, but estranged
💜Childhood sweethearts
💜Slow burn
💜”My wife”

Maisie and Warren were high school sweethearts, who got married young. And life set them on different paths that didn’t include one another. Now Maisie is engaged and set to be married to another man, and she finally needs her stubborn husband to sign the divorce papers.

But we both know that he isn’t going to make this easier. And when he gets her to agree to one week to change her mind, this man really shows up!

Warren is fantastic and I just loved his dedication to his wife. Throughout the years, he never doubted his love for her and he stuck through it knowing that one day they would make their way back to one another.

Maisie’s situation was so complicated and I just loved seeing her fall back in love with her husband. I loved seeing them reminisce about their past life.

As usual, Brooke smashed it with these narrators! Aiden Snow and Savannah Peachwood are a phenomenal duo and were the perfect choices for these characters.

Such a sweet and emotional romance audiobook!

oh my goodness this is easily my favorite brooke montgomery book to date. i LOVED Warren and maisie. if the notebook and sweet home alabama had a baby it would be this book. the vibes are so good. i binged this one so quick because i was so invested in their story. maisie and warren haven't seen each other in 7 years. they were childhood sweethearts who married young and then fell apart. maisie is now engaged to someone else and needs warren to sign the divorce papers. since he has ignored her for years she has decided to go back to her hometown to get him to sign. warren takes this as an opportunity to win back the woman he's always loved. warren was an absolute dream of a book boyfriend, i love him.

i was able to do the audio for this book and it was so good!!!! Aiden Snow and Savannah Peachwood made for a perfect combination!

This is Masie and Warren’s second chance at love story and from the first chapter to the last so was drawn into this complicated love story.

Married when they were young, Masie couldn’t settle and left Warren and his ranch behind. Now she has a fiancé who doesn’t know she was married, let alone that Warren never signed the divorce papers and do they are still legally married.

The secondary characters, particularly Warren’s family added an additional layer to the story. However it is the flawed characters who really make this book shine. Ms. Montgomery has written a realistic story and the characters are like an onion, with the layers being peeled away as the story evolved.

I absolutely adored Warren; he is my idea of a book boyfriend.

The narration by Savannah Peachwood and Aiden Snow was spot on in my opinion with voices that are easy to listen to. They brought all the drama, passion, humour and romance to life with their performances and did justice to the story that Brooke Montgomery wove.

If Take My Name is anything to go by, I cannot wait to see what she has in store for the Willow Branch Mountain series.

Holy HOTNESS! Brooke really went out with a bang especially in that prologue! Not even 10 pages in! 🥵🥵🥵🥵

This is my new favorite second chance romance!

This was absolutely amazing! I absolutely love Brooke’s writing and with Aiden Snow and Savannah Peachwood as the narrators this was PERFECTION! 🎧🖤 They really made this story!

Who knew a second chance that would turn out starting with being separated still married and engaged to someone else turn to trying to get someone to sign divorce papers, being together for 7 dates turn out to be such an amazing couple who knew they were meant for each other between Warren and Maisie. 🖤

These two chemistry is off the charts and when they are together they so in tune with each other, they just get each other and even though there was drama with Maisie being engaged to someone else. They found there way back to each other from when they first were married 9 years ago. Maisie had just left because Warren couldn’t leave his farm and she wanted to go to school and further her career. In that time she thought she loved someone else, but really she didn’t when her heart truly was with Warren.

I love a good marriage in crisis and this one delivered on everything I wanted! Plus as someone who adores Sweet Home Alabama, the vibes on this matched it, and made me giddy. Brook always writes small town cowboys/ranchers in a way that draws you in easily.

And Maisie and Warren… I was hooked.

✨ Small Town Romance
✨ Estranged Spouses
✨ Childhood Sweethearts
✨ He Pines for Her
✨ Pierced Hero

So I loved Warren from chapter one because this man was obsessed and not willing to give up his wife. And even though they had been estranged for 7 years and she was engaged to someone else, that man did not give up. I loved him for it.

Plus when he makes her give him seven days to fall back I. Love with him… I swooned. I also really ended up loving Maisie in this one too!

I also loved meeting the side characters and cannot wait for the next book. Everything I love about smalltown romance. Brooke nailed it with this one.

🎧: The audio for this one is also top notch. I swear Savannah Peachwood can pull off any accent and make it look flawless. She brought Maisie to life so well, and added so much emotion. And Aiden Snow as Warren was the perfect choice. He nailed it, the tender parts and the spicy parts. I loved it all. And having this story I already loved brought to life in audio 😍😍😍 soooo good.

I really enjoyed this story and getting to delve into Warren and Maisie. These two have a past being high school sweethearts and in love and making it through college and long distance while Maisie was in New York for school. Warren proposes and they get married and they have a summer together and the love is still there but Maisie is offered an internship in New York that she takes and Warren doesn't move with her. It's been years now and while divorce papers have shown up delivered to Warren's door, he has sent them back unsigned. He still loves Maisie and has worked to build they life they always dreamed of together and always considered himself married. I love how devoted he was to her. Even though things weren't smooth sailing and they were clearly having problems, he loved her and knew she was the one for him. When she comes back to get him to sign the papers as she is now engaged to another man, Warren has a proposition for her instead; give him 7 days to remind her why they fell in love, how good it was between them and could be again and if she still wants him to sign, he will. I enjoyed the way that Warren pursued Maisie and that the dates he took her own were about the important moments in their past love story and how they play a part in reminding her about different parts of herself as well as falling in love again. It is a second chance for the marriage that Warren is fighting for and how he sees all of Maisie for who she is, not just parts of her or who he wants her to be. This story was spicy with quite a bit of angst with the whole situation setup and fun as well. It was really well done and flowed so well. I was engaged from beginning to end and really rooting for Warren and Maisie to figure things out and get back together pretty much from the beginning. Technically while Warren and Maisie are still married they were estranged and Maisie is engaged to another man while this is happening so for some people could cross a line regarding cheating. I thought it was handled well throughout the story. It does have that Sweet Home Alabama feel to it in that regard. I loved getting to know Warren's siblings as well and can't wait for the next book in the series!
The narrators did a fantastic job with this story. It is done in dual narration and they both did such a fantastic job bringing the characters to life and acting out all the emotion and action in their voices. It was a great listen and very enjoyable.

From the very beginning, Take My Name hit hard with the Sweet Home Alabama vibes and I was instantly in love with this story. From the flashbacks from their youth all the way to the present, I was the one-woman cheering squad for Warren and Maise because love like that is meant to last a lifetime.

Warren - hello super swoon! This man fell in love as a teenager and never, not once gave up on that love or his wife. Maise was sassy and I loved how her and Warren went back and forth. These two were an absolute dream and so much fun and watching them fall after being apart for all of those years just made my heart grow so full.

Take My Name isn't all sweet though because Brooke always has a way of writing beautiful characters that are filthy too and these two, whew! Their chemistry was explosive and they were so perfect together!

On audio, Savannah Peachwood and Aiden Snow were incredible. From the southern accents all the way to the perfect way they each portrayed the flirty banter, sass, explosive and deliciously filthy moments all the way to the sweetest ones. I laughed, I swooned, and I fanned myself because these performances were truly spectacular!

I cannot wait to see where this series goes!
