That ending was not at all what I was expecting! But, let's start at the beginning. Easton Calloway had his life all planned out and he was particular about everything. Lexi Matthews's life changed in an instant the moment Easton realized she had his watch in her hands. That interaction and alleged theft led to her losing her housekeeping job, but it was the beginning of the rest of her life. Only, that isn't evident until she and Easton beginning spending time together. The banter between the main characters, as well as with the secondary characters hooked me right into the story. But that twist...OMG. I SO did not expect that to happen. Love that the author had that twist up her sleeve and surprised us with it.

Amy Hall and Marcio Catalano were great narrators! They had what it took to bring the characters to life and keep me hooked in the story. Their voices were amazing!

Oh my! So good!

I absolutely loved everything about this book from the way Easton and Lexi met, to the twin angle, then the fake marriage.
Easton was perfectly imperfect in so many ways that he was adorable, he knew his mind and his feelings for gorgeous Lexi.
He just had to convince her to believe in love and let him in to her heart.
Lexi was gorgeous and such a fun loving character that was not swayed at all by Easton’s billionaire status, but having been hurt in the past had given up on love.
With the perfect amount of fun, spice, family and even sabotage this story kept me invested till the end and so looking forward to Weston’s story.
Amazing storyline and characters plus the narration was perfection.
Loved Amy Hall and Marcio Catalano’s voices, they definitely played their roles superbly.

Personality shines through.

With a stroke of the pen and a flip of the page, personality shines through. Parish brings everything to the table when it comes to captivating readers. From the feisty heroine determined to have her say. To the alpha hero determined to get his way. The Wife Situation brings the heart full circle with endearing characters, unpredictable emotions and irresistible storytelling.

Absolutely brilliant audiobook for one of my favs!

I don't know how any book boyfriend is going to top Easton Calloway. I mean, he knows what a book boyfriend is and embraces his woman's love of them. Swoon alert!

Easton and Lexi were absolute magic together! Her anti-love approach to relationships didn't stand a chance against this romantic, sweep her off her feet billionaire.

Their not so cute meet cute, "chance encounter" (IYKYK) was hilarious and the fact both of them were immediately feeling something let me know I was in for a treat, and Lyra Parish did not disappoint.

I was laughing, kicking my feet, and getting so excited for them as their relationship progressed, and I both never wanted it to end, and see how their HEA played out.

Amy Hall and Marcio Catalano brought one of my favorite couples to life in such an incredible way. Their storytelling was so perfect for Lexi and Easton. The audiobook was fun, swoony and spicy to boot. This duo was the perfect cast for The Wife Situation.

Lyra Parish will forever be an auto read author for me because her writing style and the found families she creates are literally genius and I can't get enough. Now...what's going to go down between Weston and his leading lady...I already know it's going to be epic!

One of my favorite reads!

I absolutely love this book, and considering I dont like age gap thats saying something. I really enjoyed the audio as well. I like the female narrator a bit more than the male narrator but both were good, and it was an enjoyable experience listening to it. Below is the review I left after reading the book for the first time. And rereads and listens just make me love ot more!

First let me start by saying though this is an age gap, it’s not super noticeable with the characters. Lexi makes a couple of comments about his age, but other than that it wasn’t a big plot point. So if you’re someone who isn’t usually a fan of age gap (I’m not usually a fan) still give it a try. That being said this is my absolute favorite book that I have read by Lyra. All of the characters are fantastic and I’m cursing her name for making us wait a year to get our hands on Carlee and Weston’s story. Though it was nice to go back to Valentine for bit, and a teaser for Remi and Cash (which despite it being an age gap I’ll have to read it).

Easton falls extremely hard and fast for Lexi. I love how all his chapters have how long he has known, her as well the story behind it. Easton is willing to do pretty much anything for Lexi including being late. The way he calls her darling from pretty much the beginning is just so precious. And if you live for a my wife moment like I do, this is great book for you.

Lexi is anti-love at the start of the book, and she has very valid reasons for it. She is pretty honest about it, but of course Easton makes it impossible for her to stay that way. She may have needed a bit of help to determine what love really felt like, but she got there eventually. Once realized what was happening she did embraced it.

I really loved how much time was spent on Easton and Lexi developing their relationship. We got to learn little bits and pieces along the way, it just felt really organic. Easton had no problem showing Lexi how he felt, and the ways she was different from all the women he had previously dated. The way Easton tried to fulfill Lexi’s bucket list items was perfection. He also didn’t shy away from her brothers and that whole scene was great, especially since we got to enjoy a glimpse into some of the Valentine men.

Honestly I just really loved this book a lot. The characters were great (leaving me wanting that second book desperately), the story flowed nicely, and there wasn’t a 3rd act breakup. I just really loved this book, I was never bored and I didn’t want it to end. It’s definitely in contention for my top read of the year.

Great start to this series!

From the moment Easton and Lexi ran into each other there was a spark and it was something that neither of them really expected. This is a SLOW read in terms of sexy times. They don’t get frisky until the 80% mark or so, but when it happens, let’s say it was worth it! Easton is a deliciously smart, sexy, reclusive, introverted, billionaire who's set to overtake his family business. The only problem? He can't take it over unless he gets married before his birthday... which is mere weeks away. Enter Lexi and his eventual proposal to help him save his family's company and all of its employees by marrying him for one year. In exchange? A few million bucks. What a fun and feel good, slow burn romance between two very opposite people who just work well together. I really enjoyed their build up from friends to something more.

Fake Marriage Romance

This felt like so much more then a fake marriage romance.
Standalone with No Cliffhangers.
Easton is an identical twin ready to take over the family business, only he has to be married to do it.
Alexis (Lexi) wants to be an actress and works as a hotel maid to pay the bill. Well she did until Easton got her fired.
Chance meetings have them making a plan.
Get married for a year.
Everything is not as its seems and things change fast.
This is a fun, spontaneous, hot Romance that you will love.
The narrators did a great job.

Fun Love Story

I loved the story line, but wish it carried a little more edge. It was hard to stay engaged with the male narrator, because it did not meet the vision of the character Easton. That said, the story itself kept me engaged and I definitely enjoyed winter to keep listening. Well written.

Loved the characters and the twist on fake marriage

I really enjoyed this story! It pulled me in from beginning to end and held my attention the entire time. I enjoyed the characters and the way that the story developed. The banter is great and I had fun with the secondary characters as well as the main characters. I loved Easton and Lexi and she did a great job with making this story it's own and unique with the tropes of fake marriage and billionaire which at times can feel overdone. NOT the case with this one. I loved the agreement that Easton and Lexi had to always tell each other the truth and the way that they stuck to that. It meant that while things started off being fake to fulfill the obligation needed, when the feelings started to change and there was a true possibility for more they both knew it. Easton knew that Lexi was anti love at the time that he met her and that it had to do with the bad relationship with her ex. The characters made the story for me and it was believable and real and I was engaged the whole time. I truly loved their communication throughout the story and the way that Easton went about building the relationship with Lexi and wanting to truly get to know each other and working towards that. I loved the adventures they went on and just how real they were with each other. I absolutely loved it and can't wait for the next one!
The narrators did a fantastic job with this story and bringing the characters to life. They did such a good job with their personalities and what was happening to really add that extra dynamic and build the story even more.

Entertaining

When I read the blurb for this book I was intrigued and could not wait to dive into The Wife Situation. Their meet cute was unconventional when Easton Calloway accuses Alexis “Lexi” Matthews of theft and she loses her job.

To take his family business over, Easton needs to marry before his birthday which is coming up. Imagine Lexi’s shock when he then turns around and wants to “hire” her to be his wife for a year? Confused? What an entertaining, steamy, witty, story that ticked all the boxes for me.

Easton and Lexi come from two diverse backgrounds and could not be more opposite. The push and pull dynamic of their relationship as fake becomes real was a wonderful journey as they got to know one another and fell in love. This book had me smiling and left me with a smile on my face.

Amy Hall and Marcio Catalano did a good job of narrating the characters in a variety of voices and brought the story to life for me, doing justice to the story that the author created. Both their voices were easy to listen to and I found myself invested in their performances.
