Amazing small town romance

The narrators did such an amazing job bringing these characters to life. I couldn’t get enough of Silas and Posey’s story. I love a good second chance romance and Brooke really outfit herself with this one. The intense connection these two had even after being apart for years was so good. There was so many scenes where I was crying from laughing so hard. Especially the goat yoga ifykyk. I loved how these two were able to heal and uplift one another. They both brought out the best in one another. And that ending was so perfect. It held my attention the entire time. It’s definitely a must read!!

This was a great story, made even better because of the great choice of narrators! If you haven’t experienced Brooke Montgomery’s stories, you are missing out!! Can’t wait for more in this series!!

LOVED IT

This is what second chances are all about!! I loved Posey and Silas's story! The goat farm setting was perfect and Teddy and Marjorie were the most amazing side characters to bring these two back together!


I adored Posey and her attitude was everything!! Her one liners had me cackling so much! After Silas broke her heart years ago he also broke her trust with men. I loved the way he slowly proved to her the man he truly is and that its always been her even if they were not together. The love they had for each other was so sweet but the chemistry??? That was freaking fire!! The banter was amazing and Posey's special house guests was a fun little treat! (IYKYK!) Loved it!

This was narrated by Stephen Dexter and Avery Caris and they were phenomenal! I loved this story as an eyeball read but OMG these two made it even better with how they portrayed Silas and Posey! The chemistry and banter was on point and the emotions were brought to life!! I enjoyed this audiobook so so much!

Take My Love is the second book in the Willow Branch Mountain series. It follows Posey Langston and Silas Mathiesen.

Posey is the manager of the goat farm manager at Langston Soapworks. She has been avoiding Silas for years after they had a steamy night that ended the next day with some good ol’ miscommunication which left her heart in pieces. When he comes to town fresh off a broken engagement looking for a place to stay and a job her first response is a big NO. With a little convincing, she does allow him to stay, but she’s not sure she can trust him not to break her heart again. Still, the more time they spend together, the more her heart starts to heal. I love Posey because she knows her worth and what she deserves in a man. She is stubborn, sassy, strong, kind, passionate and has such an adventurous spirit.

Silas is jobless and homeless after his fiancée calls off their wedding two weeks before the big day. He comes to Posey looking for a place to stay and a job. While she says no at first, she eventually lets him stay with her though she doesn’t make it easy for him. He never truly realized how much he hurt her all those years ago, but now he’s determined to make amends so they can both move forward and heal. The more time he spends with her, the harder it becomes to imagine his life without her. This man is such a cinnamon roll and so awkwardly nerdy but I love him for it. Also, he has a slutty thigh tattoo, which gives him major bonus points. He is sweet, nerdy, awkward, possessive, caring, and thoughtful.

One of the things I love about this book is how it ties in with Take My Name. Posey and Silas have such a long history of being in each other’s lives, and we finally get more details about why they’ve always been so standoffish with one another. They had fantastic chemistry, and their love story is definitely “it’s always been you” coded which I am so here for! This book is heartfelt and funny. There’s even a ghost named Marjorie thrown into the mix, which was so random but I loved it. She ends up creating some hilarious moments and even helps bring Posey and Silas closer together. Their relationship was such a rollercoaster of emotions, but I love that they were able to heal all the missing pieces together.

This book was narrated by Stephen Dexter and Avery Caris in dual style. I love both of these narrators so it was such a treat having them together! Avery brought Posey’s sass to another level and also made her vulnerability really come through. Stephen was great at giving Silas the emotional depth needed for this character and boy did he invoke a lot of tears. I couldn’t picture anyone else as Silas and Posey.

Slow burn torture and I loved every second of it. Silas and Posey have an absolutely delicious second chance / workplace / brothers best friend / forced proximity love story I didn’t want to end. I loved every second. The narrators did an amazing job bringing the story to life. I highly recommend and can’t wait for book 3!!!
