Publisher's summary

A large family migrated over from Europe in the early 1700s and settled in Pennsylvania. After some time, one of the sons, Marcus Boylan, and his family decided to join others to travel and settle the frontier. Disaster struck when two young boys were stolen by Indians, one being Marcus' son George. This is a true account of his life with this Indian tribe, his eventual escape and journey back home.

Delightful Story

Encourages courage and wisdom when in difficult situations. Learn everything possible while in the moment. Earn freedom by gaining trust through obedience. As it was only four hours long I am glad it was included in my subscription.

An all time favorite!

I read this book probably at least 100 times in my life probably 3times that and more since I read it to my 4 sons and looking forward to reading it to my grandsons now even more! It’s absolutely GREAT to be able to listen to it again and again!! Just like when my big sis used to read it to me!! 🙌🏼

Lacks verisimilitude

For some unknown reason all words ending in -ing were pronounced 'in and with a Southern accent even though the action took place in Pennsylvania where people do no talk like Southern hillbillies. The characters are one-dimensional, the narrative is repetitious and with an onvipus political (conservative) bias, as in "bad Indians," good white people.
