Couldn't stop them from listening...
We started this on a trip, and had to figure out how to listen at home as they went to bed.
Finally got them to turn it off 1 hour after normal lights out.
Next morning we are woken to the sound of the author reading... they figured it out themselves!
The sound quailty is great, the story is great. 8 year old loved it, 5 year old found it a bit long and didn't listen to it all.
I loved it!

So well read.
I loved this book. Really, really well narrated in my opinion. Using this story to introduce my children to audio books. Plus, I don't mind listening to it again (and again, as kids are wont to do).

A Great Listen!!
What made the experience of listening to The Indian in the Cupboard the most enjoyable?
My third grade class listened to the audio book while following along in their own books. They LOVED it! The author's British accent made the whole experience that much better! One day, I had them vote whether they wanted me to read it or listen to the audiobook and the vote was overwhelmingly against me!!
What was one of the most memorable moments of The Indian in the Cupboard?
When Omri takes the "figures" to school with him, my class was hanging on every word! The author does a very good job of describing the event so that my students felt like they were there.
Have you listened to any of Lynne Reid Banks’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I've not listened to any of her other books. She does a great job with this one, though.
Any additional comments?
The only reason that I gave four instead of five stars for this review is that the author was reading a slightly different version that the one we had.

Beautiful Story
my son did not want to listen to this book at first. By the middle, he couldnt wait until the next chapter. By the end of the book both of us were about to cry and I've read it before back when I was in school. Great performance of a classic.

For any kid at heart!
All 4 of my children LOVE this audiobook and have listened to it over and over again. This is such an endearing story, and even big kids like me can enter into this world with great pleasure! Linda Redgrave does an incredible job of narrating. I just can't say, "So enjoyable," enough! Now, if only Audible would do the next book in Banks' series - we are waiting!

Narrator/author fantastic!
This is the second recording by this author/narrator my son and I have listened to together. She is amazing: great voice, great sense of timing. I wish Audible carried more books by her.

Wonderful!
My 8 year old was entranced by this book as was I. The naration was great. Perfect solution when I'm too tired to read to him at night. We snuggle together to listen to Audible stories. Thank you!
