Publisher's summary

A novella, Storm Warning, by New York Times best seller Allison Brennan introduces listeners to the world of Lucy Kincaid leading up to the next in the series, Nothing to Hide

FBI Agent Lucy Kincaid and her colleague Nate are racing a severe storm, but the weather is the least of their worries....

Lucy and Nate head to rural Texas in order to take an FBI Most Wanted armed robber into custody. When they reach the jail hours from San Antonio, the local cops ask them to transport another prisoner, too, since the transfer location is on their way. With torrential rain and flash floods keeping everyone busy, Lucy and Nate don’t have much of a choice but to help out.

When the two prisoners stage an escape and take a child hostage on their way, Lucy and Nate must try to rescue the boy and survive the storm, without letting these violent criminals get away.

Great serie!

I love Lucy and Shawn with all the other characters that makes up this great book. I have never missed one and hope to keep enjoying them for a long time. The narrator for this book is also outstanding!

The Narrator is awful

The narration would receive a negative 1 million stars if it were allowed, but unfortunately the least you can give us 1 star.

I only gave the story 2 stars because the horrible narration was so irritating that I couldn't wait for the story to end.

Awful

Am I the only one who finds it unlikely that a criminal would leave a pile of money to run off to murder an FBI agent while hemorrhaging to death within hours of having a miscarriage? And I'm perfectly willing to stipulate that a happily married couple of main characters have a healthy sex life without having to hear all the sticky details. I totally hate having my mystery/thriller fix interrupted by porn. Should have read the author bio; I guess that would have saved me. But this book actually had 4+ ratings, so WHAAAT? Book was posted on Audible as a police procedural, but I saw no sign that the author did any homework at all. I'm always looking for new authors, since I go around all day with an iPod plugged in my ears - but I just have to find a better way to pre-screen. Life's too short.
