Publisher's Summary

I don’t want him. I can’t do this. That’s what my ex said after our son was born, leaving me a single dad.

These days, my world consists of two things: Noah and my bar. Until her - the woman I want - but can never have. My ex’s sister wasn’t supposed to be stirred into the mix.

Even though I try to push her away, my son falls in love with her. As much as I want to keep my distance, I can’t break his heart.

Lines become blurred, and fighting our attraction becomes nearly impossible. Even though we know it’s wrong, desire doesn’t always fade away. As soon as we cross that line, nothing will be the same and everything will fall apart. And it does.

Narration needs work, but storyline was good

I enjoyed the storyline throughout the book. But the narration made me lose interest.

Cute and steamy shakes up the heart.

Stirred shakes up the heart while putting the hormones on high alert. Cute and steamy give emotions quite a beating but the beauty of hope never stopped lighting the way.

Loved Cohen, Jamie, AND of Course Noah!

Stirred was a unique story by Charity Ferrell and a great start to the Twisted Fox books. Cohen has been hurt before in a way that makes him hesitant to ever trust someone with his child and his heart ever again. But when he runs into Jamie, his exes sister one night at the hospital she works at, things take a turn that he tries his best to resist.

All Jamie wants is to be in her nephews life, even if that means him not knowing who she really is. But the more time she spends with Noah, the harder it becomes to keep that secret, and even harder to resist his father. She's had a crush on Cohen for years, but definitely feels like she lost out to her sister when he chose her over Jamie.

This book was really well done, especially with a story line that can be sticky at times and difficult to write. The audio version was good, but I did feel there was something missing with the narrators. Still give it 4.5 stars though, and cannot wait for the next story in the series!

I can't imagine navigating a situation like this!

I can not imagine having to deal with a situation where I was in love with my sister's ex. And to make things more complicated, he'd be the father of my nephew. Family relationships can already be somewhat tricky to navigate but in this story, things were taken to a whole other level.

Charity skillfully maneuvered her characters through this impossibly difficult situation and made us feel for Jamie and Cohen.

My only complaint and I realize I'm probably in the minority, is that there was too much use of curse words. Maybe it sounds more realistic to some people to hear those words so often, but to me, it was jarring each time, and somewhat distracting because I kept wishing they wouldn't say it.

Otherwise a great story that I would recommend to everyone.

Undecided

I like the story but the narrators voice was hard to listen too. It reminded me of an adult version of Caillou.

Enjoyed it but female narrator killed it for me

Female narrator killed it for me. Along with some part where the female character backs down to her family vs explaining the situation and what she wants.

Emotional, charming and sweet listen!

I recently had the opportunity to listen to Stirred by Charity Ferrell and loved it. Read by Lacy Laurel and Gregory Salinas, they brought Cohen and Jamie’s story to life. Cohen is a single father whose son, Noah, meant the world to him. He was caring and protective to those he loved. When his ex’s sisters comes into their lives, he is determined to keep her at arm’s length no matter what. Jamie is determined, smart and would love to be part of her nephew’s life.

As they begin spending time together, their connection becomes undeniable. But can Cohen trust again and let Jamie in? I loved listening to Stirred by Charity Ferrell and highly recommend it.

Happy reading!

Cohen and Jamie!

Fall in love with a single dad, an adorable son and a second chance at happiness for him! Charity Ferrell has a written Stirred, a wonderful story that captured my heart. Cohen was left with a newborn son, Noah, when his girlfriend decided she didn’t want to be a mother. Now in the emergency room, he bumps into her sister, Jamie and now life as they know it is about to change. Building relationships and family, finding your way to your own happiness and understanding life as it is meant to be all come full circle. Cohen is an amazing dad, very protective and knows his own heart. Jamie is loving, and has great instincts but is conflicted. And Noah steals the show with his fun and enthusiasm. It’s heartwarming, and addicting, investing my heart in their happiness.

Lacy Laurel and Gregory Salinas narrate the story to perfection. I love this team! Laurel is amazing as Jamie. She is the perfect mix of confident and insecure, trying to find herself. We could feel her love and her conflict. Salinas nails Cohen. The over protective dad and loving boyfriend, he brings us all the feels and makes us fall for him. Their voices complement each other and give an entertaining performance.

Great Listening

Ok... so, normally I wouldn't be interested in a sibling's ex story- but since it's a Charity Ferrell book I thought I would chance it.
And boy, am I glad that I did.
It's super sweet.
The sexual tension-the want and the longing- made it absolutely riveting.

Single dad? Yes, please!
Awesome secondary characters? Check.
Do I want their stories as well? Also check.

Lacy and Gregory did a great job with narration.
