Publisher's Summary
B. V. Larson returns to the world of his Audible best-selling Star Force series for the first time in three years with this original, full-cast audio drama.
A new stand-alone space drama by B. V. Larson makes its debut in the wildly popular Star Force series with an extensive and stellar cast. When the Ancients, a mysterious alien race, vanished before Earth's last ice age, they left behind a highway of interconnected rings across the galaxy. Humanity knows how to use the highway, but not how to build any more rings, or alter the connection pattern between them.
Now the Imperial starship Pandora is on a mission to discover and explore new interstellar connection points. On Venus, they meet a rogue robot, Marvin, with a mission of his own to reconnect the rings into a new pattern. The result is pure pandemonium. Everything goes haywire. Grotesque aliens are coming through the ring, overrunning Pandora's base camp.
The good news? The aliens can be killed. The bad news: The aliens keep coming through the ring, and no one knows how to turn off the connection leading directly to their home world. But even if the aliens can be defeated - there’s still Marvin to contend with and his alternate agenda.
Starship Pandora is performed by:
Mark Boyett as Marvin and Gen. Kerr; Marc Vietor as Maj. Drake; Tim Gerard Reynolds as Dr. Blear; Scott Aiello as Capt. Stiles; Natalie Gold as Lt. Hersh; Jamie Jackson as Emperor Crow; Graeme Malcolm as Adm. Newcome.

Story
They hunt us. They bomb our worlds for target practice. A star cluster in the constellation of Orion rotates once every 1,000 years. Those who rule there have an ancient tradition: When each cycle ends, they train their fleets by spilling the blood of lesser beings. The enemy fleets are coming again. In response, the Rebel Worlds gather their starships to face the terrifying threat, and this time humanity is asked to stand with them. The last time they considered Earth, Vikings in longboats were raiding English coastlines. Today, we're less primitive. Today, we're a target.

Story
In the 20th century Earth sent probes, transmissions, and welcoming messages to the stars. Unfortunately, someone noticed. The Galactics arrived with their battle fleet in 2052. Rather than being exterminated under a barrage of hell-burners, Earth joined their vast Empire. Swearing allegiance to our distant alien overlords wasn't the only requirement for survival. We also had to have something of value to trade, something that neighboring planets would pay their hard-earned credits to buy. As most of the local worlds were too civilized to have a proper army, the only valuable service Earth could provide came in the form of soldiers....

Story
One starship will either save Earth or destroy her. A century ago our star erupted, destroying Earth's wormhole network and closing off trade with her colonized planets. After being out of contact with the younger worlds for so many years, humanity is shocked when a huge ship appears at the edge of the solar system. Our outdated navy investigates, both curious and fearful. What they learn from the massive vessel shocks the planet.

Two centuries after humanity colonized the stars, new dangers emerge. The peaceful inhabitants of the Conclave are threatened by expanding alien powers. Invaders threaten the star cluster, attacking our fringe settlements. Captain Bill Gorman has mysteriously disappeared. His clone, set aside for a dark day like this, awakens and begins to put together the pieces. What’s gone wrong out on the frontier? Why are our colonies being attacked by aliens while the Conclave worlds dream of better days? And what happened to the original Captain Gorman?

We were fighting on the wrong side of a war we couldn't win. And that was the good news. The Ruhar hit us on Columbus Day. There we were, innocently drifting along the cosmos on our little blue marble, like the native Americans in 1492. Over the horizon come ships of a technologically advanced, aggressive culture, and BAM! There go the good old days, when humans only got killed by each other. So, Columbus Day. It fits. When the morning sky twinkled again, this time with Kristang starships jumping in to hammer the Ruhar, we thought we were saved.

When COVID-19 sweeps through New York City, Jamie Gray is stuck as a dead-end driver for food-delivery apps. That is, until Jamie makes a delivery to an old acquaintance, Tom, who works at what he calls “an animal rights organization”. Tom’s team needs a last-minute grunt to handle things on their next field visit. Jamie, eager to do anything, immediately signs on. What Tom doesn't tell Jamie is that the animals his team cares for are not here on Earth. Not our Earth, at at least. In an alternate dimension, dinosaur-like creatures named Kaiju roam a warm and human-free world.

Little did Van realize, the old man's tales were more than fiction; they were real. Hidden beneath the old barn, Van’s legacy is waiting: a starship, not of this world. With his combat AI, an android bird named Perry, Van takes his first steps into the wider galaxy. He soon finds that space is far busier and more dangerous than he could have ever conceived.

Love Star force but this format is not for me
Dislike all the sound effects/noise and unnecessary theme music. I feel like I'm listening to a movie; it lacks context which has to be deciphered from the sounds which is overlayed on the dialogue making both hard to hear.

Not what I was expecting, fell short
As soon as I saw a new Star Force book I immediately purchased it. This book is more of a radio drama with multiple actors than an audio book. While it is set in the Star Force universe, it’s a parallel story centered around Marvin. Which I know doesn’t sound bad, but is! The story is dull and too short. I consider this as waste of a credit. Only Star Force book I have ever came close to feeling this way.

Star Force is Back!
I reviewed this presentation under another account. I didn't realize I had downloaded it under my wife's account.
In any case here's a link to a full review: http://box5183.temp.domains/~notacuba/star-force-series-starship-pandora/
It's too long to post in here.
In any case, it was an excellent presentation. The cast was perfect. It was great revisiting old characters, and getting an explanation for things which weren't fully explain in the series...such as Crow's "enhancements".
My hope is that enough people will listen to his presentation and BV Larson will continue the Star Force series.
With Kyle though. I like Cody but you can't beat the original main character, Kyle Riggs, who is referenced quite a bit in this story.

listening to a bad B movie
Enjoyed the story, and got a few good laughs. Over all the drama was over the top, with cheap sound effects. I found this style of audiobook took away most of the imagination. The fight scenes were hard to get into, as listening to the actor poorly fake a characters death seemed to be over drawn. Would recommend the paper back version on this book, as BV does what he does best. Write a good story with a better cast.

Weak story line
I was looking for a new series to start reading but this isn't the one for me. although somewhere I've read that's been likening to Hitch hikers guide to the galaxy, one of my favourite books, there is very little humour in it and seems to be written to emulate It in order to get more readers. If the other books in this series are anything like this then I won't be bothering.

terrible
don't waste your money unless you want to listen to a BBC-ish dramatisation. I require minimal of 15 words. do not buy if you've listened to the rest of the series.

absolutely outstanding!
This auduobook was great for so many reasons. firstly because its a starforce series continuance. Secondly the narration was a step above, using more than one narrator allows you to get lost in the story more. Lastly, all the sound effects they we amazing, it allows you to pictures the scence in your head so much easier, i hope all audiobooks start to follow the methood of delivery shown in this book.

Childish Writing!
This is one of the worst audio books I have listened to! The story and writing sound like they came from an 8 year old. The acting is also cheesy, but I guess they didn't have any quality material to work with.

First 1 I've given
this is the first time I've given a one. acting is so bad it all feels like a bad 1950s black and white space adventure

Wow!! It’s a full Audio show!!
Using characters and sound effects, this will bring you inside the star force universe like never before.
Also explains so much of what happened between starforce/empire clashes.
If you haven’t read any of the starforce series, this is a great place to start to get you attached to the characters. B V Larson and co have done a superb job! I’m going to reread the whole series again!!
Thank you unit 14!
