The ghost of Christmas past
This is a wonderful short story for Christmas and to those who believe in Christmas miracles. The belief of an almost 12 year old (only short by 1 1/2 years) and her ability to see ghosts. She can even see ester, slades ghost who is attached to a typewriter. Slade saves the day and a family is reunited.

Warm, fuzzy ghost story?
A combination of hard-boiled detective novel, campy banter, and hallmark movie, Spirited Christmas was a lot of fun to listen to. Part Christmas Carol, part urban fantasy, Jonathan and Esther attempt to give Kelly some Christmas spirit, while trying to battle an "evil" necromancer. Well done story, and very entertaining to listen to, Jonas and Hempel have given us a gem in this novella.

Extremely good
I listened to Spirited Christmas: a Jonathan Shade Holiday Story and really enjoyed it. I found I didn’t want to make stops when I was doing errands as I would have to wait to hear more.

Spirited Christmas
A very interesting Christmas story. I was not familiar with any of Gary Jonas' stories about Jonathan Shade. After listening to this story, I'll be checking them out! I loved the paranormal twist of this ghost story.

Great Short Story, Exciting
I received this audiobook free for an honest review. This was a great short story. The author did a great job of getting information to the reader/listener in a short time. It was totally complete. The story was complete and the characters were complete. It wasn't just a cute little book, it was exciting. It was chocked full of surprises, especially the ending. The narrator did an excellent job with the characters and the tone of the story.

Heart warming!
Spirited Christmas is a short mystery involving a little girl, a psychic detective, and a couple of ghosts. The story is a sweet little tale with an unexpected twist that in the end warms the heart. The narrator did a nice job with character voices and appropriate emotional inflections. I received a free copy of this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Fantastic listen
A quick, heart warming listen. I loved the story and the characters, plenty of snark and humor. I’m new to the Jonathan Shade series and plan on listening to more. Best Christmas Story Ever
Interesting characters, an engaging storyline, happy ending, magic and the supernatural, a cute little girl, excellent narration that didn't intrude but which made it easy to tell characters apart: all adds up to the best Christmas story ever.
