Eh

Book isn’t bad just lost interest in some parts more than others (could be i wasn’t fully focused on the book). Definitely had some laughs.

Waiting for it to be over towards the end

I will not be continuing this series. This book contains too many chapters for the protagonist sister. I wouldn't have minded it too much if they were separate chapters, but it was mixed in. It aIso took way too long for things to happen.

One of the best

Simply put book 2 continues an amazing story with one of the best narrators out there. You won't be disappointed.

Great contination to the story

The main antagonist is compelling and a great foil to Dorian's character. My only gripe with this book 2 is a HUGE spoiler. The ending. It was good, but a detail of it was... disappointing. Wish they would have lived. I won't say anymore.

Good stuff

In the last chapters the power scale and how the MC obtained the power felt a bit wishy washy, compared how the author wrote the story until then. At the end though I understood why and I liked his decision.

I enjoy the series and bought the next book in the installment

Story is good but the narrator is driving me nuts

Why do I gotta listen to him swallow his saliva every 2-3 minutes? I get hearing it every now and then, but the amount of times this occurs is ridiculously disgusting.

I'm struggling to like the main character

I will admit that I am not through the whole book yet, but I have grown to dislike our resident Godking. I understand you need to distance him from normal humans since he's an old immortal being, but there's a fine line to keep him likable. As of this moment, I had to put the book down and take a step back with high hopes that if I returned after a bit, I might not hate him as much as I do right this second. Also, the changes in the characters' POV were a new and welcome addition to this novel, though it is verging on filler instead of helping the story progress. It's not as good as the first novel, but I hope I can slog through this, and maybe the ending or book three will be better.

I want my money back!

I've seen heroes start out stupid and then get smarter I've never in my f-ing life seen a hero get started out smart and then get stupid and stupider

Yeah, I’m stopping this series right here. MC is scheisse, He only cares for himself and he’ll steal from those who haven’t wronged him.

Might not finish this one

I believe it to be a good book but it's one thing to make your audience intentionally uncomfortable, but I've also been grimacing for nearly the whole first two hours. From depictions of young child dead and decaying, to children burying hundreds of bodies, to calling a sister a pet, then the constant sexual harassment that has happened so far upon entering the "oasis". I'm not ignorant of reality but I'm listening to fantasy/litrpg for escapism and power fantasy, not a reminder of how cruel the real world actually is and not how I felt when my three year old sister had cancer, beat it, then relapsed. If you can relate to this sentiment this book may not be for you, at least the beginning isn't. I'm writing this review very early but overall it won't be above a 4 whether I finish it or not.
