Different Narrator!

Nothing distracts me more than having different narrators on a series!! this definitely effects my rating

I'd call this a page turner, if it wasn't on Audible! heading to the Yellowstone series next!

A well continued saga!

The adventure continues, there is no such thing as a happy ending in the rymens life! It's always one problem after another, almost seems like real life where nothing goes according to plan. This installment will leave you on the edge of your seat waiting for the next book to release. The devils homecoming is going to be epic. When everything starts to come together it's going to be interesting to see the next turn in the road. This new narrator had big shoes to fill coming behind Kevin pierce, I feel like he did a good job but it's like leftovers rarely as good as the first round. Overall solid read and well researched.

great story

I'm really getting into this one. I hope book four is as good as the first 3. as much as I like John David Ferrell, I didnt like the change in narrators. It takes nothing away from JD Farrell, he did a great job. It's just tough when you get used to some characters voices being a certain way. either way great job and great book.

Why oh why did the narrator change?

I was on the road, enjoying very much the Blackout series, imagine my horror when I finished book 3 and immediately started book 4 only to not hear Kevin Pierce. I decided to give it a try since the story had been so good up to this point. I found the story is still good but can't deal with the narrator in this one. This series lost me after book 3, will be returning this one for sure. You can't go from using the 'voice of the apocalypse' in one book to a new voice in the next in the series.

shiloh ranch - blackout series

this book of the series, along with book 1, was better than some of the interim books. for really good Bobby akart series, read Yellowstone or Pandemic.

good story

Narrator did well and the storyline continued in a realistic way. it was easy to project into the characters.
My only complaint would be the writing of the narration and sometimes dialogue was to stiff & academic. Sometimes it was that ordinary people don't speak that way, use words like that. I thought it could've been more earthy, common (not meaning cussing, etc.) language the characters would realistically use.

price and length don't match

for $14 it was too short. the story and performance was great. we typically love this author but his audio versions are getting to short for the value

why in the world would you drop the best reader for this monotone? story was ok but ruined by this guy
