Doesn’t feel finished

I felt very torn with this series because while I enjoyed the overall plot, I was not a huge fan of the main character or how this ended. She was an immature, physically violent and bratty character. Always having to hit someone or rebel just for the sake of rebelling which got annoying. Aiden came across as a saint for dealing with her and even Seth, for all his flaws, was ridiculously patient with her constant craziness throughout the series. It made it hard to believe that these two guys could fall in love with her considering how she acted most of the time. I also felt this last book desperately needed an epilogue or something to tie up loose ends. One more chapter to go into the following year or something would’ve given this more closure. The narrator also just didn’t do it for me. I suffered through it and I eventually got used to her for the main narration and Alex’s voice but absolutely hated the voices used for the male characters, especially Aiden. I have never been more aware of the word ‘okay’ and how many times it was used because of how she said it. It took me out of the story every time. I think she’d be great reading other stories but perhaps not one like this with so many different characters that need a voice.

Simply brilliant one of my top fav series

This is the final book in the Covenant series, Alex and Aiden's story has been epic. This series is one of my top favorite PNR ever, I love the world-building, the characters, simply everything. The storyline had me laughing, crying, screaming, and everything in between. Alex has gone through everything with Ares, it's her turn to find a way to get Lucian, Seth, and everyone else. This series has had me in a turmoil, a rollercoaster of emotions, and plot twist, it kept me guessing all the time, I was so hooked I never wanted it to end. Brilliant, phenomenal, and definitely one of the best series ever!

Pretty boring, but I came this far.

The romance was stale and repetitive. Had some feels at the end. Not enough action and displays of power. Kind of a lame loophole at the end.

Wow!

Okay so.. I started this series for two main reasons: Seth and to say I've read/listened to all of JLA's books. Everyone in the FB Group loves Seth and so I wanted to love him too. That didn't happen. Ha! People keep telling me to wait until I start the Titan Series so we will see. I never thought I'd like these books because Greek Mythology was never really my thing.. well not it is. I'm obsessed! The whole storyline was amazing and this book seriously finished it off for me. I am hoping there are a few more answers in the next series though. I was on Chapter 26 and I was thinking about how she could make all of this add up and close it out. Chapter 27 is when my feelings started pouring out. It was amazing! JLA never disappoints!

I truly love the narrator. She does such an amazing job on all the books.

I love this Book

Where does Sentinel rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

5 out of 5. I love the main characters Alex and Aiden. I love the way they love each other.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Sentinel?

Their night in Vegas and when the gods came to kill her. I couldn't stop crying. I just could't believe after all she did for them they still killed her. I figured with them being gods they could take the power of the god killer out of her and let her live with her love ones.

Which character – as performed by Justine Eyre – was your favorite?

Alex, Aiden, and Seth. Especially Seth I loved the accent Justine put on.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When the gods came to kill her. I couldn't stop crying. Then in her after life how she found out she was a demi god as well as Aiden after feeling the loss of her life and her love ones so strongly.

Any additional comments?

I just really wish she didn't have to die.

Amazing series!!

Listening to the Covenant series has been one of the greatest joys to my ears in a very long time. This is another JLA series, that has blown me away!
Her brilliance for weaving a story really floors me! Like, I'm awestruck. Everything in her books that I get all Grrrr about and question or irks me, fully comes to light the reason for it.
Everything in her stories happens for a reason, but in the moment, my vision is blurred with immediate emotions/reactions. As I listen further in, I lean back, eyes wide, and just think, "WOW! That's why x and x happened." That's what happened in this series. She was able to plant little seeds to manifest and urge a story.
Everything came to full circle with appropriate closure to story threads with spin-offs that have me drooling. This series came to a close with an unusual HEA, but still a good one!

I really wanted to like it

Ok, so. I really wanted to like this series. So much so that I finished all the books (except the prequel and novella). But I just couldn’t get past so many little things. Like the cringiness that would take place right down to my soul.

I’m not sure if it was the narrator? I mean no disrespect to her because I’m sure she’s wonderful at her craft but I hated the male voices in general. Especially Apollo. And the whine she put on the main character whenever anything dramatic was happening. It made the entire thing so…polarizing? That it yanked me right out of the story. MC was obviously a badass so how whiny and pathetic she sounded at these major key moments and all her pre-teen swooning for aiden was giving me the ick.

Amazing premise, but there was just a shallowness to the writing and and elementary level of depth to the overall story and characters I couldn’t jump in whole heartedly. I did love the Seth redemption arc.

I want to like JLA so bad but I think she pumps out books *so* fast that she misses some character development. I like the characters. I don’t love the characters :/

Amazing story

I absolutely loved this storyline. I think a TV series should be created from it. I would love to see this in film. Justine did a good job with telling the story. I literally complete all 7 books in one week. I just couldn't put it down.

(Spoiler Free) One of the best Series I've Read

I've never been much of a reader but after I read Halfblood (Covenant #1) I fell in love with The Convenant Series and was automatically addicted! I binge read the whole series. I loved this book series so much! Sentinel (Last book of the Series) was my favorite book of the whole series. Sentinel made me feel alot of feels and It took me on a emotional rollercoaster ride. The ending was so beautiful and sad at the same time. I loved all the main character's! Aiden is the perfect book boyfriend. I would recommend this book series for people who loved reading The Percy Jackson series. I definitely recommend this to any reader who loves to go on adventures when reading. 📚🙂

Could have been better.

I really like the book, but the situation with Hayde’s could have been negotiated better. She could have said she won’t kill Ares and the world can go to hell the gods can all die. She and Seth have all the power really but they behave like they are useless and have no power at all. That part was really stupid and annoying it almost made me stop listening to the book. I would have liked bit more shellfish in this book. It’s too angle like for me. (Unrealistic)

what a roller-coaster, like all Covenant series,

I just want to go and read up on all the myths and legends re the Gods, titans , underworld etc. Utterly loved this book, this series. Jennifer l armentrout rocks as does the narrator. For a female she had a brilliant range for male voices and different accents, which really helps with audio , keeping up with the characters etc. J L Armentrout never disappoints!!

Performance

Why does she pronounce words so wrong? It has been soooooo annoying to listen to all of the books. I don’t understand why the gods have accents, one has a Southern United States accent and another has an English accent?
