Publisher's Summary

Madison Daniels has worshiped her brother's best friend since they were kids. Everyone thinks she and Chase Gamble would make the perfect couple, but there are two major flaws in their logic. 1) Chase has sworn off relationships of any kind and 2) after blurring the line between friends and lovers for one night four years ago, they can't stop bickering.

Forced together for her brother's wedding getaway, Chase and Madison decide to call a truce for the happy couple. Except all bets are off when they're forced to shack up in a tacky 70's honeymoon suite and survive a multitude of "accidents" as the family tries to prove their "spark" can be used for more than fighting. That is, if they don't strangle each other first...

I really liked it!

I thought this was cute. A bit pricey for the length but I caved because I love Kaleo Griffith and he didn't disappoint. He is always great! Love his male characters!!!!

The story is cute and witty and has all the makings for a good light read. Could have been a little longer but still very enjoyable.

Overdoing it in the end, don't you think?!

I cannot understand why people find it hard to just communicate. Its a very simple process to take part in. I get that it's human nature to jump to conclusions in our assumptions. But my gosh, is it really that hard to confront a situation to get information about it?

The story was great up until the point when Madison woke up after their night together. She made assumptions instead of trying to clarify what happened to ensure she had all the facts. That's just plain retarded. Who does that? Are humans that shallow these days?

The narrator was great and the story line was acceptable. But, I just cannot agree with how the last part ended. It was just plain idiotic.

Loved it!

As always, I love another one of Jennifer Armentrout's books. Not to mention the narrator's voice was deep and sexy!

Wow

I liked the cat and mouse or rather the cat and cat relationship. I think we call all relate to lusting after someone from afar. Great book.

Usually love this author but (spoilers)....

This book started off so strong but then the last hour of the audio book was mostly just sitting through two sides of an annoying misunderstanding. They never even talk about it at the end! I have loved every other book of hers that I’ve read (which is most of them). Luckily it was a short book but I’m left feeling disappointed.

Love this author. Another great book!

I love this author! Her hometown is only about 20 minutes from me. I love that she writes about real, local places. She comes up with good stories and doesn't fail to execute. This story is a bit too common but she made it her own (h in love with brother's best friend cue the misunderstandings). This book was no exception. Although this is the first in the gamble brothers series, I actually started with book 2. After reading tempting the player I had to go back and hear about chase and maddie. I did think book 2 was a little better but I have a love for sports romances. You won't be disappointed. As I did, you can read them out of order but you will hear about chase in book 2 and not know the background. I suggest starting at book 1. The only thing lacking is a good narrator. This guy was really not right for this part. I love the narration by Andi Arndt and I think she would have been great for this part. Enjoy!

*sigh*

I absolutely love this book. I wish I could could get more of their story. I have yet to get a book by this author that I don't like.

Great, light-hearted listen

This was a fun listen. I've listened to several books by Jennifer L. Armentrout. Some I've adored and some were a little eh.. Just eh.
But this short and sweet story was a pretty intriguing one, both relatable and frustrating. The only thing I didn't enjoy was the communication issues towards the end. The internal monologue between both characters didn't really justify why one didn't just confront the other. I found myself wanting to skip ahead a few minutes to the inevitable (yet still satisfying), happy ending.
It was all fun though, and that frustrating bit was very little of the experience. Armentrout has a phenomenal ability to create a lasting sexual tension between character that will actually make your heart jump a little along with her characters'. Totally worth a listen.

Sweet story

Not bad. I listened to these out of order. Book 2 in the series is my favorite. I did enjoy Chase and Maddie ' s story.
Awesome job by Kaleo Griffith as always.
