Publisher's Summary

Dr. Dyer reflects on the many great teachers who have influenced him. Whether statesmen, spiritual avatars, poets, or writers, these individuals all "lived lives in which they were independent of the good opinion of others". Dr. Dyer recommends that you "make them come alive in your own life", commenting that many of these thinkers took great personal risks to provide us with these inspirational teachings. Set to Richard Del Maestro's elegant music, the poems and excerpts on which Dr. Dyer reflects will fill you with tranquility and inspire profound insights.

Superb Refernce Material

I've listened to these recordings time and time again and shared them
with friends and colleagues. The spoken words have taken me in many
directions and I've been 'blessed' again and again, my life being
richer through becoming acquainted with the writings and thoughts of
some of the greats who lived before us.

Not what I expected from Wayne Dyer

He is just reading quotes. I couldn't stay engaged in the book. This is the first time I have not enjoyed his work.

Nice info overpowered by music

it was difficult to hear and focus on what was being said as the music was overpowering the words.

great information., but music should have been Lee and more in the background for effect.

it's too bad I really could not enjoy the message.

The music is too loud!!

I'd rather just here Wayne in this audio book. But the music, though it maybe good, is distracting from the reading. It's overbearing in the over all mix. Not even necessary.

Background Music

We really like Wayner Dyer, his content, reading and voice and have several of his books and now audiobooks. My wife has some hearing loss in both ears but not needing a hearing aid. While Wayne's voice and reading is excellent the background music to voice is so OVERPOWERING she cannot hear a word Wayne is saying on this book or "Staying on the Path".
We do get this on some TV programs with voice overs but we never thought that Audiobooks would do the same. It brings what is good work a very low vibrational energy and we would hope that this could be corrected in the future.

Not for me

Not much here except a string of trivialities smothered in music so unimaginative and intrusive it's almost comic.
