Publisher's Summary

This workshop explores how abuse and neglect impact the typical development of children. Specific solutions are offered for foster and adoptive parents to enable them to care for children who have been affected by poor or abusive early environments. This is an excellent introduction for prospective or new foster and adoptive parents and professionals. Accompanying handouts are available on http://nysccc.org/conference/conference-archives.

Not good format

Couple good points but could have been summarized what we got from it in 5 min. There are periods of time the main speaker refers to the audience and is not speaking that you can't hear. And can't hear any feedback or questions from the audience

Time well spent

I really enjoyed this audible book. The authors message appealed to my struggles and gave me new ideas! Thanks!

Interesting and useful

I took some ideas from this. It's useful. Annoying bits are the fact that there is 10 minutes of crowd mumbling that could be cut.
