Would you like to have better solutions to your problems? Struggling to understand why things went wrong when you did everything right? The Art of Thinking in Systems can help you with these problems. You think systems thinking is for politicians, and powerful CEO's? Let me tell you this: a small business is a system, your class at school is a system, your family is a system. You are the element of larger systems - your town, your country, the world. These systems have a different dynamic. The more you know about their nature, the more optimal solutions you'll find to problems.
Most of us believe that we will finally feel satisfied and content with our lives when we get the good news we have been waiting for, find a healthy relationship, or achieve one of our personal goals. However, this rarely happens. Good fortune is often followed by negative emotions that overtake us and result in destructive behaviors.
The author of cult classics The Pumpkin Plan and The Toilet Paper Entrepreneur offers a simple, counterintuitive cash management solution that will help small businesses break out of the doom spiral and achieve instant profitability.
Often the decision between a customer choosing you over someone like you is your ability to know exactly what to say, when to say it, and how to make it count. Phil M. Jones has trained more than two million people across five continents and over 50 countries in the lost art of spoken communication. In Exactly What to Say, he delivers the tactics you need to get more of what you want.
Darren Hardy, publisher and editorial director of Success magazine, presents The Compound Effect, a distillation of the fundamental principles that have guided the most phenomenal achievements in business, relationships, and beyond.
Perhaps once a decade, a book comes along that transforms people's lives in a very real, measurable way. This is one of them. Crucial Conversations exploded onto the scene 10 years ago and revolutionized the way people communicate when stakes are high, opinions vary, and emotions run strong. Since then, millions of people have learned how to hold effective crucial conversations and have dramatically improved their lives and careers thanks to the methods outlined in this book. Now, the authors have revised their best-selling classic to provide even more ways to help you take the lead in any tough conversation.

Where does Blast Off! rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
One of the best books I have listened/read on the self improvement subject. The book is an easy and inspirational read with great examples on how to apply the steps to success.
What did you like best about this story?
The humor and real life examples that are used to share the message keep you entertained while you absorb the information. The ideas and steps to easy to follow. You can read at your own pace while you practice and apply each step in your own life to see how it works for you.
Which scene was your favorite?
My favorite part of the book is the inspirational story of Sam the Cooking Guy and how she worked with him to discover his REAL dreams!
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
There are several areas in the book where I was able to see myself and my own life in her examples or stories. One particular example that struck a cord with me was about when she ran herself over with her own car one day in a mad rush to pick her daughter up from daycare. She had everything someone could desire, but yet was unhappy. The book is the step by step journey (and all the humorous ups and downs along the way) to finding her true passion, along with stories of many people she had worked with along the way and their transformations. The lessons she shares are easy to follow and paralleled with her own life journey, making the time fly by when listening and learning.
Any additional comments?
I would highly recommend this book to listen to. I listened to it once all the way through, then listened to it a second time while taking some notes on the key areas I wanted to focus on. Either way you choose to listen to it, it is an inspirational kick in the rear to make your life the life you want to have.

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
Allison's Voice and passion, not the narrators. Also, more how to, not asking me a bunch of silly questions like "Why are you not where you want to be financially" It's too general and not very helpful.
Would you recommend Blast Off! to your friends? Why or why not?
No.
This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?
I couldn't make it through this one. I'm sure there is some good information in there somewhere, I just couldn't find it. She did mention having a flight plan to Blast Off.... which made me think of Brian Tracy's book "Flight Plan". (go get this book instead)
What was most disappointing about Allison Maslan’s story?
I lost count of the number of times I heard the web address.... she lets you know over and over that there is a web program available. Funny, I have no idea what the website is.
How did the narrator detract from the book?
There was no pause when reading segment titles. It drove me crazy. While there was a pause between chapters (and music) I just found it annoying.
Any additional comments?
look her up and check out the website.... thats what she wants you to do anyway. Save the money on the audio.
