It was a good first shot at the genre

Where does Zombie Rules: Zombie Rules, Book 1 rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

It would be in the top 20 I guess. Plot moved along quickly. Less about killing zombies and gruesome descriptions than about actual survival. Zombies seem more like a catalyst than a main focus. If you liked 28 Days you'll like how the story is set up.

What other book might you compare Zombie Rules: Zombie Rules, Book 1 to and why?

28 Days and Walking Dead

What does Graham Halstead bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Good character separation.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Tough to say without giving spoilers.

Any additional comments?

I say it's a good first shot at the genre because there's a lot of potential here. If the first book was good enough to keep me interested then I'm excited for the next book and see what lessons the author learned from this one.

Rick: this guy has real issues, suffers from ptsd, and is one hell of a father figure.

Outstanding

Great story looking forward to hear the next section. Only criticized area would be when the narrator stared. He was slight off on the voice of different characters, towards the middle and end he was spot on all the time. THANK you for the great listen.

Pretty Awesome

Would you listen to Zombie Rules: Zombie Rules, Book 1 again? Why?

Absolutely great. It starts a bit rough with the teenage drama, but quickly picks up and you find yourself just rooting for the characters. Glad I gave it a shot, and can't wait to finish the series...

What did you like best about this story?

The characters are developed very well. The story line has great ups and downs, and I find myself not wanting to turn it off.

Have you listened to any of Graham Halstead’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Tennessee Stud

Great story

A great all around story, only took 10 minutes to get hooked and then binge listened to the whole series in a couple weeks.
Graham Halstead does an excellent job. I’ve only recently heard of him but now I specifically look for books with his narration.

Surprisingly good.

Seemed like a storyline that would appeal more to young adults at first but I was pleasantly surprised. Much of the zombie genre deals with the relationships between people and the daily threats that survivors face. This is always more interesting to me than made up scientific explanations to how some virus was made or how to come up with a cure. This one is even parts post apocalypse interactions with other people and survival/fighting with no silly made up scientific lab crap.
