Samantha was badass even before she learned magic. Fending for herself in the cauldron of a planet torn apart by an alien invasion taught Samantha how to kill. Ruthlessly efficient, her abilities have caught the attention of the Shadow Corps. A group comprised of deadly warriors who focus on galactic safety, using any means necessary. Her first mission puts her team up against a space dragon, death reapers, and the ultimate sorcerer. Samantha had better learn to master her alien magic, or be forced to watch her world, and many others, burn.
New Orleans is a hot mess.
Ancient feuds. Demonic forces bent on destruction. Oh, and apparently vampires are real.
Della didn't sign up for any of this. She didn't sign up for violence and mayhem in the streets of the Big Easy. She didn't sign up to be a magnet for an evil force intent on hunting down the reincarnated souls of its enemies. She sure as hell didn't sign up for rescue by a sinfully tempting vampire lord and his fashion-model-gorgeous friends. Especially since he seems convinced that she's the living embodiment of his long lost human mate.
Saiya Buchanan is a wraith, able to detach her shadow from her body and send it off to do her bidding. But, unlike most of her kin, Saiya doesn't deal in death. Instead, she trades secrets - and in the goblin besieged city of Stirling in Scotland, they're a highly prized commodity. It might just be, however, that the goblins have been hiding the greatest secret of them all. This is a really good series, and I love Samantha! Not only is she a mom, but a vampire, and a Private Investigator, who does not hold back any punches. I love her sarcasm!
This is one of the best paranormal series from Kindle Unlimited, and I love being able to borrowing these audiobooks! When I'm the mood for a good detective story, I know I can turn to the Vampire for Hire series for a great read/listen.
Dina Perlman does a great job narrating this story, and I loved how she performed Samantha's internal dialogue.

This is a very quick read. Everytime I finish a book in this series, I tell myself that it will be the last one. Of course it's a lie. This is a great series and the narrator does a great job giving a voice to the characters. My only complaint is that it's too short. He should combine two books together. It's worth a credit and the the time. I recommend the series.

Any additional comments?
Samantha Moon's vampire abilities continue to grow and the addition of the medallion protection from the end of the last book has made her life much easier. Some new revelations concerning her children and a big step for Fang. Ishmael interferes and sets up Kingsley in ways that are devastating to Sam who was just opening up to him. Perhaps not fast enough.
Another good but too short book.

These books are very well written! Always a good plot and the performer brings these books to life. Great read!
this was the first series that I ever started on audible and it is stll one of the best. love every book . the performance by Dina pearlman as always great. keep the Samantha story's coming plz
I jus have to say, I love these books!! I can't listen to just one. I found myself getting one right after the other. I just wish they had a bundle price.
Another great book in my favorite series about soccer mom/private detective Samantha Moon. Samantha is called in to investigate the death of an up and coming young boxer who dies after being punched in a boxing match. The twist is that it's the dead boxer's opponent who hires Sam, swearing that he did not hit his opponent hard enough to kill him. Sam's personsl life also goes through major upheavals. The book introduces a new character of a fallen angel. There are critical turning points in Sam's relationship with the two men in her life Fang and Kingsley. There is also a change in her relationship with and between her children. All in all, this book presented a huge development in the story arc.
I'm at this level and I love all the books so far. They make you mad, sad, happy, and sometimes wanting to just kill someone. Keep them coming.
What did you love best about Vampire Games?
I love the fact that you see both sides of the character...her at home with her kids and her being what she is...a vampire.
What did you like best about this story?
Her character is my favorite all around part of all of these books.
Would you listen to another book narrated by Dina Pearlman?
Yes for sure!!!
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes

This book was short, as was the last, and the fact that they are not ONE book is a cynical way of getting more money from the reader/listener. I understand that authors want to make money, but this is an increasing trend. For goodness sake, write one book and charge more for it! Having said this, I enjoyed listening but the irritation of being short changed constantly overwhelmed by enjoyment.
