Publisher's Summary

The flames of war spread through the Cursed Princedom to devastating effect. Bound by powerful centuries-old magic, the Great Essences yearn to regain their freedom. In the face of an impossible mission, Krian has no choice but to keep going while risking everything that's become dear to him. The only solution is to become stronger and forget the meaning of the word impossible. And so a plangent wolf's howl soars over the battlefield as a plate-clad cavalry rushes the enemy ranks....

    "I like this series"

I just wish he would make the books twice as long. Also his reader needs to find out how to say Luffy properly. When he say it, it sounds like Lauffy.

    "boring, offensive, and boring"

This book, rather than being a real story with a beginning middle and end, is just a regurgitation of the previous book with some new characters. Player fights undead, player fights a large, night stakes battle with nearly the same tactics as the large high stakes battle in the last book. boring. lots of talking about what's happening, lots of chatter about the larger plot, but did it move forward? Not really. listening to this book is like grinding mobs in an MMORPG. It gets you somewhere, but not in a fun way.

I wish there'd been more action, but the character ended up in nearly the same spot he started in.

Also, the depiction of gender roles in these books is atrocious. Women in these books are soldiers, but never fully realized as characters existing only to be objects of lust, sources of problems for the men to solve. I can only recall one instance where the main character said or implied that a woman might be equal to him, but he said something like, "I had to remember that in THIS WORLD (the game world) women are equal in every way to a man.". This kind of sexism is gross and I, for one, don't need it in my books. I'd rather read something by someone smarter or more enlightened. it's the 21st century.

    "Finally the series takes off."
    Any additional comments?

In previous books the editing has been choppy, the flow from scene to scene wasn't there, and many battles were skipped so you could get to the boss battle right away. A lot of questions that should have been answered in the first book are answered now, the flow is better, and the story really picks up.

"Great Reads or in my case Even Greater Listens!"
What made the experience of listening to Steel Wolves of Craedia the most enjoyable?

I really enjoy the Stories and the READER - reading the written word is much more difficult since the Stroke - have a problem waiting for the Audio Book so I have slowly started reading book 4 of this series and await the audio book.

What other book might you compare Steel Wolves of Craedia to and why?

I find that many of the RPG books to be very enjoyable. As I played WOW and several other MMO's in the past.

    Which scene was your favorite?

I really enjoy the way we writes stories both from the Demon brother's sides and from his sister's and Max's game play.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

    Oh yes!!!

    Any additional comments?

I very much enjoy these books. All 4 so far even if there are only 3 in audiobook format as yet. Keep up the Good Work!

    "Pure Gold"

Haven't enjoyed a LitRPG book this much since finishing D. Rus' Play to Live series. If you've listened to the first two, you probably found it ironic that the sorta frequent flashback scenes of long dead, one off side characters were far more interesting than anything the protagonist was up to. Book Three finally hits the sweet spot where that changes.

A fantastic LitRpg . It has compelling characters and an immersive story line. I would recommend the Steel Wolves series to any fantasy literature fan.
