Great story

I don't know why people are complaing, this was a great book to listen to. This series gives a lot of insight to Kenobi and Skywalker. I don't think Anakin's miraculous machine skills are overdone in this book, it's emphasized in many other books the great command he has over machines and karen miller just puts his skills to use in the book.

If you buy this one, you must buy the sequel

Any additional comments?

This is only half of the story of Clone Wars Gambit. The whole story consist of Clone Wars Gambit: Stealth and Clone Wars Gambit: Siege. It's really a long mission.

Q.) When DO Jedi Knights not act like Jedi Knights? -

A.) When they're in a "romantic adventure" written by the INSIDIOUS-HACK-of-The-galaxy; Karen "Swarmy" Miller. (WORST STAR WARS WRITER EVER!)

STAR WARS was originally George Lucas' answer to the swash-buckling space-adventure of the awesome legendary "Buck Rodgers"! - the first Star Wars films reflect this: lots of action, many cliff hanger thrill rides. Awesome Indeed!

Now, how-ever, we have sadly gotten WAY off-track with a writer like Karen "Swarmy" Miller. She writes Star Wars novels like they are "Romantic Novels" …with great long chapters about people getting in touch with their inner emotions.

C3PO would be delighted by these books. "Oh my yes, this is so thrilling my heart is just throbbing… oh wait I don't have a heart. Oh, HA! indeed!"

This particular Snore-Fest has had …oh…let me count them up…hmmm… lets see…. not ONE LIGHT SABER BATTLE!

NOT ONE!

- I am 3/4ths of the way through-out his plodding, sentimental, teary-eyed emotional tale of people and their "feelings" in a galaxy far far away
…a galaxy that's supposed to be swept up in a HUGE WAR IN SPACE…except, with-out ever really showing the WAR IN SPACE!!!!

No War. Just lots of inner dialogue, and hand wringing, and worried looks, and over thinking about your feelings and other people's emotions.

C3PO chimes in; "Oh my R2-D2, this is simply super-fantastic, and so very wonderfully fascinating! Oh goodness me! YES Indeed!"

Hmmm…what the heck is going on here? What? Is Karen Swarmy Miller some one's niece? How'd she get this gig? Writing all theses mega-boring STAR WARS novels? She got black-mail material on George or something? Who's she light saber did she have to ignite to get this job?

TRANSMISSION TO LUCAS ENTERTAINMENT AND DISNEY- PLEASE - KAREN SWARMY MILLER SHOULD NOT WRITE ANY MORE ROMANTIC STAR WARS NOVELS ….please! Oh by the Force... please!

good storyline poor character portrayal

I listen to a lot of audio books because of the amount of time I spend on the road. I have enjoyed the fate of the Jedi unabridged series so much I thought I would give the clone war series a try. The storyline is good but the dialog between characters especially the Jedi are so hard to listen to sometimes I had to cut it off. Other than that if you are a star wars fan and have a free credit it’s not a bad choice.... if you have already listened to everything else.

Good book for Obi and Ani fans

This is a fun listen for anyone who wants to see more of Obi-wan and Anakin's relationship. It gives you real good insight of their toughts and emotions, which are not always those you'd expect.

This book is a two-parter so it ends abruptly and leaves you wandering just what happened next tough...
