Publisher's Summary

Robert Kirkman's The Walking Dead: Search and Destroy! The latest in Jay Bonansinga's New York Times best-selling series!

What could possibly go wrong?

For one brief moment, it seems Lilly and her plague-weary band of survivors might just engineer a better tomorrow. Banding together with other small town settlements, they begin a massive project to refurbish the railroad between Woodbury and Atlanta. The safer travel will begin a new postapocalyptic era of trade, progress, and democracy. Little do they know, however, that trouble is brewing back home.

A little "tired"

Have to say the plot line here is getting a little tired. Saw the ending a mile away and even though that is ok sometimes - the plot leading up to it was way way too predictable .... Better luck next time

Disappointed

I had a difficult time listening to the end of this book. It drug along with a lot of fluff but no story. The first four books in the series were very good but after the fourth book it has been going down hill.

So badly written

Earthworm colored, liver colored, “Sh**, sh**, sh**, sh**, sh**, sh**, sh**!”

Have you ever read/listened to something that convinced you that you could definitely write better that this? Well, if not, listen to this. This poor writer is just horrible. Every plot line is obvious, the dialogue is written by someone with a tin ear, and copies itself, and he has favorite descriptive phrases that aren’t. And worst of all, his science is just terrible. For example, lightning comes BEFORE thunder, which just shatters a pivotal scene. Oh, and most walkers are tall and/or big. It’s comforting to know us short people will be safe in the zombie apocalypse.

In short, save your money. This one is baaaad.

Fair story

It was fair, story never really grabbed you. Narrator wasn't bad but he did give Lilly kind of a drag-ish voice. Not sure why didn't choose a woman to narrate. Also, don't listen to it in mixed company because certain bad words were used to an unnecessary excess.

Ugh, I barely made it through the entire story

Would you try another book from Jay Bonansinga and/or Fred Berman?

I would not try another book by Jay Bonansinga based on this how awful this story was.

What do you think your next listen will be?

Road To Woodbury

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

No Way

Any additional comments?

I wanted to like this so badly, alas it was horrible

Good story overall

The first several chapters failed to capture the feel of the walking dead universe. The beginning story felt like a cheap action movie. I am glad I stuck with it though. Eventually the story flows into the thrilling adventure we've come to love twists and all.

Horrible! That is all.

Very disapointed. Dull. Silly. Waste of a credit. Could not even finish it. Was expecting so much more.

Good story but it still has a lot more to explain.

It's s pretty good story but it has it's flaws. As always, it leaves you wanting more info on the survivers and wondering what Kirkman will do next. The down fall started with the main characters of opposition, the antagonist. I think there could've been more there but at least you can clearly see the struggle. I'm looking forward to the next book.

Another good story in the series

I enjoy following the characters of this series. It wasn't my favorite in the series, but went a different direction so I still think it was a good one. I will look forward to the next one.
