Publisher's summary

Long months have passed since Siris and the God King, enemies betrayed together, were left to rot in the prison at the Vault of Tears. Their true enemy - the Worker of Secrets, creator of the Infinity Blade itself - now reigns.

Upon finally obtaining freedom, Siris must unravel plots that seem to make no sense, lead a rebellion with no direction, and fight against the division within his very heart. The secrets unraveled will dig backward in time toward the origins of the deathless and the true nature of the world itself....

From number one best-selling author Brandon Sanderson and ChAIR entertainment, creators of the blockbuster Infinity Blade video game series, comes the second novel in the epic Infinity Blade saga.

This latest tale delves deeper into the fantastical world of Infinity Blade, a world of mystery and intrigue where magic and technology are indistinguishable and even life and death are not as they seem.

Confused in the start

Apparently you need to have played the video game to understand the beginning. Don’t give up if you’re confused. It takes time but by the end you’ll understand what it all means. Not as good as the first but still Sanderson.

Delightful Story

Some authors would have stretched this plot into a 20 hour listen, I appreciate that Mr. Sanderson made this a short story. I really enjoyed the story, it has a fair amount of jumping around in the wheel of time and he handles it very well and it was clear and concise. I didn't feel like I needed any more of the details (the why's and how's) than he gave us. The narration is great too. I have liked Mr. Roukin before and I liked his work again.

Sanderson knows what he is doing

Excellent short story. I 100% recommend. The short amount of time you spend with these characters is just the right amount to; know and wonder all you need to know and wonder.

Great listen

After loving the game series and reading the original release, had a great time listening back and rediscovering this connection!

Surprisingly good

I can't believe I hadn't heard about these before - they were wonderful! I've heard they were companion stories to video games no longer available. Shame, it looks like they were great.

Not as good as other Brandon Sanderson books

I have read nearly every Brandon Sanderson book available except the wheel of time. This is not a favorite book of mine. It’s very dark, a little disjointed, and a little hard to follow. It may be because of the source material he was trying to fit the story into. It finally comes together by the end of the book and I may actually read the second one now. But the first 2/3 of the book, I pondered returning it to audible and getting my money back.

Another well written story

While this was another well written story, the story itself was not as captivating as some of his other ones.

This was surprising! A story formed from a video game…

I would never have thought such a thing could be entertaining but I really am so curious what will happen next. The books are clean for my 13 yr old to listen to. (Thank you Brandon for that small mercy) full of honor and inner turmoil and self discovery.

Much better then the first book

Great twists, amazing concept. Would love this to be a 30 hour book rather than a rushed 4 hour book.

If you like Brian Sanderson rather read the Stormlight Archive, or if that is too much of a commitment Warbreaker is amazing.
