Publisher's summary

From New York Times best-selling author Mira Grant comes the final book in the terrifying Parasitology series.

The outbreak has spread, tearing apart the foundations of society, as implanted tapeworms have turned their human hosts into a seemingly mindless mob.

Sal and her family are trapped between bad and worse, and must find a way to compromise between the two sides of their nature before the battle becomes large enough to destroy humanity, and everything that humanity has built...including the chimera.

The broken doors are closing. Can Sal make it home?

Great end to the trilogy

Mira Grant does is again, she wraps a trilogy of deep characters, actions and exciting original events to a satisfying ending. I thoroughly enjoyed both the work of the author and narrator. The narrator brought the characters to life. I highly recommend this book.

Cliche?

Oh you know, just your stereotypical ending to zombie"esk" tapeworm outbreak. Everyone lives happily ever after, and the bad guy dies. Blah, Blah, Blah..... I enjoyed the series, but I was just hoping for something a little more than pizzazz!

Pretty solid conclusion to a pretty solid series

I enjoyed the first book immensely. So I listened to the rest. This book was solid. There were a few portions I found a bit forced, but overall, I was satisfied. Sal is a solid character. The narrator was very good and the audio quality was perfect. If you’re hankering for a solid end of the world saga, this one isn’t the greatest, but it is good.

Amazing!

The characters were so well developed that I felt I knew them. What a incredible series. Many hours of sleep were gladly lost. I couldn’t stop listening. I’ve never listened to an entire series of books without stopping.

I loved the entire series! Mira Grant tells an amazing story! This is the fourth book of hers I've listened to and now that the series is done, I'm off to find more.

Fascinating spin

A horrifying potential scenario presented with a sci-fi twist. What more could happen to the human race, than to have our minds and bodies taken over by tapeworms and the human part shut out and killed within a still-living body?

As always...

Mira freaking Grant, can I just learn how to better write from you? Or just be your friend, seriously? I love every book of hers I've ever read. And this series? This was my favorite. I have already recommended this series to others but I needed to write this to hopefully sway even more people. Not to mention Christine Lankin is a stunningly good vocal performer. Do you like cunning heroines who do what they want no matter how bad an idea is? Or what about realistic romantic relationships that don't feel like they're shoehorned in? Maybe a little bit of oh, crap how's this going to work out tension? Stop reading my lame review, go download this audiobook so you can feel oddly attracted to a female doing a male British accent like me.

Amazing

Every aspect of this piece (and series) was brilliantly done , in my opinion. I enjoyed the amount of research that was clearly put into this book.
