No power, no water, no emergency services, and hundreds dying by the day. This is Georgie Fitz’s reality when an EMP bomb goes off over her home in Denver, Colorado.
As one of the few who knows how to survive the start of an apocalypse, she sets out with her boyfriend to escape the city. After all, the darkness of the Rockies is safer than the violence in the streets.
What made the experience of listening to Blackout: Book 0 the most enjoyable?
It was an interesting story, apocalyptic, but with a twist.
What did you like best about this story?
How could the performance have been better?
The narrator reads like someone who has never narrated or read aloud before. Very stilted, with odd inflections and pauses in the wrong places. Every time I started to get drawn into the story the narration would knock me right back out again. Probably the worst I have ever listened to.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Any additional comments?
The author of this book is getting the shaft with the poor narration.
