Publisher's Summary

You don’t fall for your brother’s high school sweetheart, your boss’ daughter, or your ex-wife’s best friend. Especially when they’re all the same woman.

Under Brick Callan’s mile-wide chest beats a loyal heart with a few cracks in it. He’s the steadfast, overprotective type. Especially when it comes to the one woman he can never have.

It’s a long, complicated history punctuated by fights, friendship, family, and an attraction that strains his iron willpower. When Remi Ford returns to Mackinac Island in the dead of winter with a secret, Brick makes it his mission to find out what put the shadows in those green eyes. Even if it means breaking down the walls he’s built between them. Even if it means falling for the one girl he’ll never get over.

The free-spirited artist just needs to lay low for a few weeks so she can figure a way out of this nightmare. She’s definitely not staying. Not when the man who broke her teenage heart into splinters keeps showing up at her parents’ dinner table. Remi doesn’t need broody, bearded Brick riding to her rescue...again. Not when it will put them both in danger, costing them much more than their hearts.

Author’s note: Frenemies-to-lovers. Opposites attract. Slow burn. Girl in danger. Glorious, glorious banter. Fighting as foreplay. Small-town shenanigans. Big, grumpy, pining, overprotective hero. Wild-child, trouble-finding heroine who keeps on pushing the hero’s buttons. Steam level: Lava. Suspense: Nail-biting. Feels: Big time.

Just what I wanted

Lucy Score is a new author to me. I’ve read her two latest books so far and I’m headed back for a third. I love her fully developed and exciting stories, clever writing, fun characters, the slow burn, and the hot and steamy parts. The narrator was perfect. I can’t imagine anyone bringing the characters to life better than Ramona Master. 5 out of 5 on all levels.

You can always count on Lucy Score to deliver!

Forever Never is a little bit different from what you usually expected from Lucy Score. It's a little bit grittier and more suspenseful, a little less comedic, but it's such a great romantic suspense.

Remi has been the object of Brick's affection for years, but it's an affection that he can't act on. There are so many complications that Brick has put her firmly in the "no" column despite their deep connection. When Remi shows up on Mackinac Island in the winter with no notice, he knows that she's hiding from something. What he doesn't know is how serious that something is, and how upside down his life is about to spin.

Trademark Lucy Score witty dialog, high-quality writing, a riveting plot that has you reading way too late into the night because you don't want to put it down. This has proven that I will literally read and enjoy everything Lucy Score writes. She has yet to let me down!

Ramona Master did a great job narrating this lengthy story. She captured Brick and Remi so well, and she really made the story exciting.

Emotional Roller Coastet

Lucy is an exceptional writer and Forever Never has exceeded my expectations. The history and chemistry between Brick and Remi is a high speed roller-coaster. I laughed, cried, groaned at Bricks displaced sense of reason denying his feelings for Remi, their hot and exotic love scenes. This is a must read and listen since I've done both. The only negative is I would have liked to hear a Male Narrator, though the Narrator was good, and portrayed Remi's character perfectly it would have just been nice to have male version to portray his voice to match the description of Brick.

always enjoy a score novel

Riley Thorne is still my favourite Score novel to date but this one is good too. A lot more 'steamy' than RT and A LOT of dialogue about bodily fluids-not necessarily a criticism. I would have loved it if the novel unpacked Brick's parent issues further to build credibility around his resistance to Remie, it didn't feel plausible at times given the character's combined history. Loved the world of the island and the playfulness/contrasting characters. Always enjoy a Score novel.
