WOW!!!!!

Please don’t judge the book by it’s cover!!!! I had this in my library for a month n kept passing by it because of the boring cover…. N I just wanted to say “WOW”… my kids were making fun of me because I was laughing and crying out of nowhere… Sebastian was awesome as usual… Lauren was ok, not one of my favorites though. Definitely recommend it!!!

Another LJ Shen masterpiece

It’s awe inspiring that how many stories she writes become so alive in my head. Bad Cruz is hilarious, a bit gritty, and has all the facets of small town life that make the story relatable with touches of hotty-ness too. Narrated so well, also. I listened to this in less than 24 hrs because I wanted to know how it ended!

At first I thought it was going to be a dud but the more I listened the better it got and I was sad when it was over, a great funny story

Bad Cruz

Tennessee a somewhat young single mom. Going on a cruise with family and family friends. Dr. Cruz a good man who doesn’t attract bad things. She on the other things seems to attract them like a moth to a flame. I love listening to narrators bring the characters to life.

Great Writing

Story line was good and super funny. But more Sebastian narrating would have made it even better.

Ok I admit that this audio threw me off in the first few minutes. I felt like Lauren Ezzo’s narration was sped up and then super slow in the prologue. Her performance was definitely much better moving on to chapter 1-2 and so on. I think there could have been more Sebastian York but honestly this dual narration was one that you almost forget who is performing because the story pulls you in and they become the characters. I love this story, it was such a great ride, the banter was great, and I laughed out loud many many times! This is definitely worth the credit and then some. Don’t get discouraged with the prologue, keep listening and I promise you will not regret it.

Sweet and funny

This book really makes you feel for the single moms trying their hardest to live in a small town and make the best of things. Tennessee might be known as Messy Nessie but she’s doing her best with what life and family throw at her.

🤬 Smack!!

I want to smack the shit out of Tennessee's mother, sister and dad. Not to mention her son's father. I have so many questions. Why didn't Bear have a relationship with his paternal grandparents and why the 🤬 did she stay in that one horse town. I wish that she didn't wait until the very end to speak her mind. I also wanted her to beat her sisters ass when she smacked her.
The narrators of course we're great!

Cruz also needed to grow a pair! I'm used to a more take charge man. He wanted from her what he couldn't so himself. I love an asshole but he was so worried about being considerate that he could only be that way to her. This was a nice lengthy read from one of my favorite authors but I swear I want to cut a bitch!

The book was Laugh out loud funny

This book had me cackling with laughter throughout the whole book. I read this through KU and listened to parts of it through Audible and I loved every minute of it. Tennessee was hilarious and had me dying of laughter every time she would say something that just blew Cruz’s mind. And Cruz, Dr. Cruz was amazing. He was sexy and affectionate and though he put her down a couple of times he always made sure to apologize and see if she was okay. He actively wanted her and was amazing with her son. Her family on the other hand, I swear I wanted to punch the living daylights out of all of them, except her son he was perfect and adorable.

I enjoyed the audiobook. Sebastian York is one of the best male narrators no complaints on his parts, but the female narrator I wasn’t really a fan. During some of her parts I felt like I was listening to new casters and it kind of drove me insane.

Overall, I really enjoyed this book and I highly recommend it if you need a good heartfelt romantic comedy book.
