Publisher's summary

From New York Times best-selling author Cheryl Bradshaw comes book two in her Addison Lockhart paranormal suspense series.

Psychic medium Addison Lockhart jolts awake, her brow sweaty, head throbbing. The dream had seemed so real. The twins, 11-year-olds Vivian and Grace, were so full of life that she wanted to reach out, touch them. But she couldn't. The girls had been dead for 40 years. Why, then, had they appeared to her, summoning her help? Were their untimely deaths really an accident, or was something far more sinister to blame?

Good book, better narration than the first, but...

Good book. They changed the narrator for this one, so it was much easier to listen to. However, there was still some weird pacing and pauses in the narration which made it an uncomfortable listen at times. Nothing horrible, just constantly noticeable. Still, it was a good "read" and I'm moving on to the third installment.

She Sees Dead People!

If you could sum up Rosecliff Manor Haunting in three words, what would they be?

Hauntingly good story.

What other book might you compare Rosecliff Manor Haunting to and why?

I haven't read a lot a mysteries, so I'm not sure I can compare it.

What does Jane Oppenheimer bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Jane Oppenheimer's narration is top notch. She really brought the book alive for me and made me care so much about the two little girls. I would love to listen to her other narrations.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Dead doesn't necessarily mean rest in peace.

Any additional comments?

I really loved Cheryl Bradshaw's book and look forward to listening to more of them; and, she would be wise to have Jane Oppenheimer read them. It was a perfect combination of story and voice.

Easy listening

Flowed well, easy to follow kept my attention. Liked that it was more about the mystery and paranormal with just a little romance.

Ghosts and murder

Engaging mystery story with plenty of characters, some nice and some downright cantankerous. I enjoyed this book!

Horrible writing and flat characters

I struggled to finish this book. I wanted to like it. I wanted to be interested but I couldn't. Addison comes across as an idiot.l and the dialog sounds mechanic. The author states the obvious all the time as if she doesn't think a reader can put two and two together and this story was all tell and no show. Many overused lines and sentences th at have been recycled over the years.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY.

Was good but too short

Is there anything you would change about this book?

The narrator was good. Story was cool but short. It wasn't great so I'm not sure if I will read the first one.

LISTENED FURTHER BECAUSE OF GREAT NARRATION

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

I love ghost stories so I was intrigued by the title of this book. First Audible purchase for me. The story did not keep me engaged, but on the plus side, Jane Oppenheimer kept me interested longer than I intended to listen. I have discovered that the narrator is almost as important as how good the book is. Oppenheimer's voice had a very soothing quality, and her ability to distinguish all the voices was done with great subtlety but finely tuned distinction. So that's why 5 stars to the narration, and only 3 for the story.

Would you be willing to try another book from Cheryl Bradshaw? Why or why not?

Not my cup of tea.

Have you listened to any of Jane Oppenheimer’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No, this is the first.

Was Rosecliff Manor Haunting worth the listening time?

Not as good as I had hoped.
