Publisher's summary

Dan Osborne has one ambition in life. He wants to be a permanent park ranger in Yellowstone National Park, a place where his family roots run deep. He'll do just about anything to make his dream a reality. When a pretty tourist tells him an incredible story about his ancestors, his dreams might be realized sooner than he hoped.

Jana Evans' best friend traveled back in time for true love. Not only is a weathered diary proof that she survived, so is the handsome park ranger standing before Jana now. Her immediate attraction to Aimee's descendant leaves her disturbed and confused, and she rushes back home to the safety of a normal life. An unexpected phone call months later from the very man she wanted to put out of her mind forces her back to Yellowstone. He has news that Aimee met with an untimely death. Is she willing to follow him 200 years into the past to save her best friend's life?

Dan is convinced that Jana holds the key to finding the device that makes time travel possible. He hasn't stopped thinking about her since their one brief encounter months ago. A journey into the past could not only set things in place for his own future, but it might also bring Jana back into his life. Will the truth about his motives shatter any chance they might have at love?

Another Time, Another Chance for Redemption

Would you listen to Yellowstone Deception again? Why?

Yes! I love the story and the relationship between Dan and Jana.

What other book might you compare Yellowstone Deception to and why?

Not sure. I would compare it to Yellowstone Redeption becuase both heros are in desperate need to be redeemed and it comes in the form of a good woman and personal integrity.

What does Alexandra Haag bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The way she decribed things was good. I do like Alexandra's voice, but feel that these books need a male voice to narrate. Nothing against Alexandra though.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Correcting future mistakes in the past. . .

Any additional comments?

Love the book and how Dan is restored through not only the love of a good woman, but also his own integrity. He so well reflects who Daniel just may have been had he been born 200 years later. Loved that!

Fantastic End To A Great Series!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes I would. I have recommended both the book and audiobook, since I have enjoyed them so much and still do. The whole series just takes you away into another time period and allows you to experience what it would be like to have lived in those days.

Have you listened to any of Alexandra Haag’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I listened to Alexandra Haag narrating Yellowstone Heart Song and enjoyed her voice with that audiobook, so I was very happy to hear her narrating this one. I feel she does very well with the different voices and I felt they were believable. She helped to bring this story of deception, suspense, forgiveness, humor and love to life.

Any additional comments?

This audiobook picks up about two months after Yellowstone Heart Song ended, when Dan Osborne and Jana Evan first meet. I liked them so much, I wanted to know what would happen if they had their own book and I am so happy that the author gave them their own story.

Desperate, Dan wants so badly to become a permanent park ranger at Yellowstone National Park and he's willing to do most anything. Even though he hasn't seen Jana since the first time they met, he contacts her for help in locating the time travel device, that will assure him of getting the job. Shortly after meeting with her, he realizes he made a bad mistake with getting her involved and lying to her. He regrets the whole idea and tries to make everything right, but it's too late. Jana, strong, loving and very trusting, missing her best friend, Aimee, goes along with the idea, not realizing until too late, the real reason Dan wants to travel two hundred years into the past. Can Dan win her love and will Jana forgive him?

What a great ending to the Yellowstone Series! I love each book and audiobook and hated to see it all end, but Peggy L. Henderson with her wonderful imagination and her love for Yellowstone National Park did a bang up job with an ending that truly shocked me. It took me by surprise and left me sobbing.

Each of these books and audiobooks follow some of the descendants of Daniel and Aimee Osborne. I enjoyed following each generation, to see how they lived and how the country changed throughout the years. Even though I will never get a chance to visit the beautiful Yellowstone National Park and see all of it's glory, I am able to experience some of it through the author's eyes and all the wonderful characters she brings to life. I highly recommend this and every book and audiobook by this author, for pure enjoyment and entertainment. JudyE

Excellent story and well narrated

Yellowstone Deception is the 5h of Peggy L Henderson's Yellowstone series.
I enjoyed this audiobook as much as when I read the book. The descriptive landscape make an excellent backdrop for this cleverly written romance novel.

Sweet Time Travel Romance

Even though this was book five in the series, I think it fits better as book two. I tried reading the actual second book but was not feeling the lead guy. I decided to skip to this book as it happens shortly after the first one ends. And this is Jana's story, which I was really interested in reading.

I really liked the time travel elements in this story. Sometimes I get iffy on that theme, but I totally enjoyed the way it was used in this book and the first. Maybe it was most interesting to me because I am not familiar with the history of Yellowstone. I loved hearing about the time period and challenges faced.

I really liked Jana and her spunky, loyal personality! She goes above and beyond for a friend. I like that she is not a pushover and takes time to show her anger after the deception. She took a while to forgive and really made him work to regain her trust and affections.

Dan is actually a great character, once you get past his mistakes, and he does work to atone. He is young and made a huge error in judgement, but that is what leads to him and Jana getting back together. Without that deception there would be no story. I liked that he was another rugged wilderness man. Yummy take charge fella!

There is a little bit of steam, not full on erotic detail, but smexy enough to get a gal warm!! You might need to fan your face!! A little bit of spice to heat up the romance!!

This is a mixed narrative that swaps between the two lead characters. I enjoy getting both sides of the romance, it really makes it a fuller story. There were a few spots that felt redundant because a conversation was worded almost the same as when the characters was thinking about things. It is a picky thing that gets to me as a reader, if they thought it out in detail they do not have to have the same detail in a conversation.

I listened to the audiobook narrated by Alexandra Haag. She does a great job with the voices and keeping them distinct. She has a great pace for the read, adding energy to action scenes making them even more dramatic. She really fits the story and makes it come to life.

Overall, the story is really great and very involved. The pace is great and moves smoothly through the story. Really terrific characters who are engaging and real. I was totally taken by the book from beginning to end. Warning, have tissues handy, if you are emotional like myself, you will need them! Kudos on great storytelling that had me sobbing and laughing.

In the end I am good with doing book one and book five in the series. They are the most connected stories and had the great time travel angle. I read the blurbs on the other books and they are tenuous connections at best. I am usually the kind of person who must read every book in a series, but I am good with just these two. The books are most likely as well crafted as the two I read, but the stories just do not grab me, but check them out, cause they might appeal to you as a reader! If not book 1 and 5 work well as a duology!

Yellowstone Deception: Yellowstone Romance Series,

I was intrigued about Jana and Dan who met in the epilogue of Book 1 Yellowstone Heart Song. I was sorry to see that Dan lied to Jana but was pleased to see that he was determined to redeem himself. His ultimate sacrifice for the woman he loved and his ancestors brought me to tears. Very well written story!

Yellowstone Deception....

Would you listen to Yellowstone Deception again? Why?

Having read this compelling series on e-book and enjoyed it so much I purchased audio books which are useful when travelling. The narration by Alexandra Haags beautiful voice is clear dramatic yet gentle on the ear. In Deception Dan and Jana's story they have their work cut out for them saving Aimee and in the process finding love.

In this gripping yarn the suspense and action is on the edge of your seat kind until the last, love does find a way. This is said to be the last Yellowstone a wonderful enthralling series that has held me captivated throughout. Characters from previous novel make an appearance, which make this beautifully crafted novel outstanding. I do hope there will be further novels in this heart warming series as this author does not disappoint.

Alexandra Hagg has made a wonderful yarn into a novel to treasure and enjoy many times.

What other book might you compare Yellowstone Deception to and why?

Yellowstone Heart Song, too many elements to list!

What about Alexandra Haag’s performance did you like?

As I mentioned earlier her voice is dramatic yet gentle to listen too and above all clear.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

All of the series are beautiful romantic yarns they both make you laugh out loud and weep with heart felt tears.
