Publisher's Summary

When two people's lives are spiraling out of control, can coming together pull both of them back up?

Alexis Woods knows who she is - or at least, she thought she did. She's number 17, point guard, MVP, all-star, co-captain of the Lady Raiders NCAA Division I women's basketball team. But there's a darkness growing inside of her, a darkness that started the night her beloved died in her arms, and if she doesn't turn things around soon, the darkness just might swallow her whole.

Graham Griffin knows a thing or two about darkness. That's been her zip code ever since the car accident that took her boyfriend's life - the car accident she caused. When she meets Alex, she sees a reflection of her own sorrow. And she can't help but want to fix it.

    "Outstanding Story!"

This is an emotionally satisfying story. Definitely one of the best I have read and I have read hundreds of lesbian romances. Every sentence in this book is well thought out and meaningful. The audio book is also well done. I'm excited to find such a stellar author! Highly recommended!

    "Great Book!"

This is a great love story. I know the LGBT community would love it but I also think straight people would enjoy it. You forget the story is about two women and it becomes a story about how two people finding each other and growing together. It's a simple message that we all have baggage but when you find the right person, it doesn't matter. Loved it!

    "Deeper than a romance"

This book delves into the emotions of people. The characters have lives and friends, issues and personalities. It has a realistic timeline.
The book length was fantastic. it didn't feel like it had to be crammed into 8 hrs and rounded up quickly just as it was gerting started.
The narrator has a very sexy and expressive voice.
The Author has an enjoyable writing style thats easy to listen to. I was able to get a good visual as I listened.

    "Wonderful book"
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes. I felt it was a true to life story. We could all relate to it on some level.

What was one of the most memorable moments of To Have Loved & Lost?

Personally, the ending really. My philosophy is things happen for a reason. The tragic accident, the meeting in the group, the bond they built. No matter how bad life can get, something good can always come out of it.

What does Angela Rysk bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Her voice. No matter how angry Alexa was, Angela still had this calm soothing voice.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I could have, but was glad I had to put it down and walk away. Hit close to home in some areas.

    Any additional comments?

I'm waiting for the next one about Anika from Eliza. I also hope she has the same narrator. I find if a series of books comes out the narrator should follow the series. As a reader, it changes everything when another narrator takes over the series. Similar, to when a character you've enjoyed on tv, is suddenly replaced by someone else. It just isn't the same.
