Publisher's Summary

After a painful loss, Cady Moreland is coming to Magdalene to start the next chapter of her life. A chapter that began 18 years ago but had a heartbreaking ending. The time in between was full of family and friendship, but Cady could never get the man she fell in love with all those years ago out of her heart.

Coert Yeager has learned to live without the girl who entered his life right when she shouldn't have and exited delivering a crippling blow he never would have suspected. The time in between was full of failing to find what he was missing...and life-altering betrayal.

But when that girl shows up in Magdalene and buys the town's beloved lighthouse, even if Coert wants to avoid her, he can't. A fire in town sparks a different kind of flame that won't be ignored.

As Cady and Coert question the actions of the two young adults they once were thrown into earth-shattering circumstances, can they learn from what came in between and find each other again?

    "PEFECTION!!!!"

There are not enough words for me to describe how much I loved this audiobook! The story was fantastic - a great second-chance romance with lots of angsty build up and super sexy steamy scenes. I flipped between reading and doing the audio and I have to say that this narrator did an amazing job bringing these characters to life! I loved this book so much - it's my favorite audiobook of 2017!

    "Fall in LOVE with LOVE"

    I am in awe!

This is exactly the kind of story that made me fall in love with Kristen Ashley’s books.

A second chance at love is just magically to me. And I loved Coert & Cady they deserved to be together.

The way they loved each other is something to strive for. You can’t have that much pain and sorrow and not have that much love.

I have loved each book in the series, but just in a different way. Cady makes you believe in hope.

I laughed, I cried, I swooned, and I smiled so much my face hurt listening to this brilliant book of love and friendship.

I am also sure I have said this before but Kristen Ashley has a way of writing kids in to a story that is not only believable but so realistic. I love this so much!

I am in awe of Erin Mallon’s ability to make me love each character. To know each voice. To fall in love with love.
    Fantastic.
I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves romance.

*You don't have to like my review but its 100% my opinion, and I am allowed to have it.*

"It keeps getting better & Better !"

This is my FAVORITE series of all of KA's books, and I've read A LOT of them. I was hooked with The Will, captured with Soaring, and completely submerged in The Time in Between. With each book being even better than the last, I didn't think it was possible again - but who am I to have doubted the amazing KA.
What affected me most about this story is the overall theme of forgiveness. Keep sight of your values and damn anyone who tries to get in your way. They close the door in your face, you keep it wide open. It's an important lesson to learn, especially when you've been hurt and been through hell and back. Ultimately it's love and family that matters the most.... no matter how much time has passed. This story gives hope. It sets a realistic tone that a happily ever after is always possible, it just sometimes needs time.

    "Anti-climactic"

Too much focus on silly little things and not enough focus on the story line. There were a couple times where an event was building with a couple different "villans" just to have them completely fizzle out with no action. Not a bad read but definitely not a well developed story line.

    "Not my favorite KA"

Story was rather boring and mostly uneventful. Lacked an engaging plot and the narration was ok but not great as well Making for a mediocre story. I doubt this will ever be a multi listen

"Definitely NOT Going on My KA Favorites Shelf!!"

I'm heartbroken that I'm so VERY disappointed in the final book of this series. The storyline was mediocre at best....It feels like KA just threw a book together to end the series. The first two books are great, The Will is one of my absolute favorites.

The best thing about this book was catching up with characters from The Will and Soaring (the first two books in the series) and the side story between the handyman and Cady's niece.

Lastly, the narrator was okay, but, not great....she made the listening of this story (a tiny bit) more bearable.

"This is one of the worst books I've listened to"

I disliked this book so much, to little content, just on and on, predictable. If you want to hear about sex.. Terrible story. I can't say enough bad about this book.

"IF YOU'VE EVER FELT THE BURN OF REUNITING"

This was a good book with strong feelings of reuniting with a lost love that were described pretty accurately to how it feels to be reunited. The narrator was super annoying trying to change her voice to match the age and gender of the character she was speaking for. It was like a bad audition tape most of the time. If you can get past that(and trust me it's super difficult to do so) then the story is amazing. There were times throughout that I felt like Coart was being portrayed as a controlling narcissist towards Cady, but again that could have been the awful narrator as well.
If you've lost your soul mate and are losing hope, this is the kind of hope you should hold on to.
