Beautiful and well performed!

I loved this audiobook. The artists were great and the book content does not disappoint.

Duet narration would have made a huge difference!

Many reviews had negative comments about the narration. Shane East was wonderful but, India Baldwin did not perform the Hero’s voice masculine enough. If they would have done duet narration, where the female narrator does all the women’s voices and the male narrator did all the men’s voices, it would have made a very positive difference.

The story itself was well written and was likely the most complete 4 hour novel I’ve ever listened to. That being said, had this not been included in the Romance package, I never would have spent a precious credit on such a short novel. The novel was good but, it could have been great if it would have been twice as long.

A beautiful love story

This book will stay with me. The story was incredibly well written and the narration was superb. I found this before other works by Raine Miller, and I was happy to find references to Darius and Marianne in The Blackstone Affair series.

Both narrators hit the perfect tone for this story. Frankly, Shane East could read the phone book and make it come alive, but thankfully there are wonderful stories out there for him to lend his magic to instead.

Meh...

Ya, this was one of those books...nothing special. All my books are starting to read the same for some reason. Come on, all of you potential earth changing as we know it, authors...rally your vocabularies :). Readers are hungry. Give us something with substance... Give us something we can really sink our teeth into. Move us!

Not what I was expecting...twice.

What made the experience of listening to The Passion of Darius the most enjoyable?

This is the first audio book I have listened to. I liked the voices of both of the readers; Shane East and India Baldwin. I also liked how the characters were, which is what made this story the most enjoyable.

What did you like best about this story?

What I liked best about the story is how much alike my characteristics are to the heroine of the story. Not by physical description, but by personality. And I really liked how the hero of the story, Darius, is the kind of guy I would want to be with. His personality is so sweet.

What does Shane East and India Baldwin bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I enjoy the depth that Shane East and India Baldwin bring to the characters, particularly Shane East. His voice was pleasant to the ear, and made me believe he was this character. India Baldwin was also very good at portraying the personality of her character. I appreciated that she played the part believably.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I ended up getting this book for free through an Audibles deal and did not realize until after I had purchased it that there is BDSM in this story. I'm not a fan of BDSM, but was very pleasantly surprised to find that it was so mild that I didn't even know it was BDSM.

Also, I didn't realize how close to home those characters are. I'm not used to reading a heroine character that is a lot like me, and I am not used to reading about a hero character being a lot like the man I want to be with.

Overall, I loved the book, and most especially the audio version because the voices of both India Baldwin and Shane East portray the characters so well.

Any additional comments?

It would be wonderful if the actress always spoke the heroine's lines and the actor always spoke the hero's lines. Those were the only jarring, and sometimes laughable, moments that pulled me out of the story to consider how the actress/actor felt in real life saying these lines without laughing or becoming possibly nervous.

Loved this book

I especially loved Radius as a very strong alpha male. I think all the beautiful words he said to her were beautifully writen.

Great Love Story

A story about a man falling in love with a young girl when he was a full grow man a waiting for her to grow up to marry her.

Enchanting period love and passion driven.

Wonderful read. Great if you are hungry for appropriate behavior in love and wildly wonderful behavior in the bedroom. Kelly

The story was a very hot performance for a historical romance. I well enjoyed nice short read.
