Publisher's summary

At long last, New York Times best-selling author Gena Showalter unveils the story of Paris, the darkest and most tormented Lord of the Underworld….

Possessed by the demon of Promiscuity, immortal warrior Paris is irresistibly seductive - but his potent allure comes at a terrible price. Every night he must bed someone new, or weaken and die. And the woman he craves above all others is the one woman he'd thought was forever beyond his reach… until now.

Newly possessed by the demon of Wrath, Sienna Blackstone is racked by a ruthless need to punish those around her. Yet in Paris's arms, the vulnerable beauty finds soul-searing passion and incredible peace. Until a blood feud between ancient enemies heats up.

Will the battle against gods, angels and creatures of the night bind them eternally - or tear them apart?

Best one yet!!!!

All I can say is WOW!! Through all the books I have been excited to see how things worked out with Paris and it has been very hard not to skip forward and listen out of order but don't it is worth the wait. So many things happen in the book. It is truly an awesome story that will change everything. Gena Showalter is so good at weaving a story which is why this is probably one of my favorite series. I can't wait for the next edition.

Not my favorite by Showalter

Where does The Darkest Seduction rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

It's in the mid range for me because I like the series but this book seemed built up from the previous titles only to let you down a little with a few confusing turns and twists that weren't really necessary. A very good plot only to not live up to its potential.

Would you be willing to try another book from Gena Showalter? Why or why not?

I like Showalter and would probably "read" another book by her an audio isn't worth my time and money.

What does Max Bellmore bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Max had a range of voices and the tones/inflections were different than what I would have imagined myself.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Lord of Sex

Worst of the series so far

This book was much easier to put down than any of the others. It wasn't bad, but it definitely wasn't up to par compared to the rest. Most of the previous books, I listened to as straight through as I could. With this one, I've gone days without listening to it and with no real urge to hurry and get back to it.

I'm still looking forward to the next in the series and hope that the storyline goes back to being as good as it has been.

Need another one STAT!

Where does The Darkest Seduction rank among all the audiobooks you???ve listened to so far?

Top of the heap!!!

What other book might you compare The Darkest Seduction to and why?

I love the Black Dagger Brotherhood because the have special powers too in that series.

What does Max Bellmore bring to the story that you wouldn???t experience if you just read the book?

You get drawn in when he speaks...you don't even have to try. It's just automatic to know who is who. I really enjoy that , not when you have to try to figure out who is talking 'now' when you are in the middle of the story. He is fantastic.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I love the end where Paris says..he is King over his boys now...I had to laugh on that one....I did love when she just cut off this head!!! That was a fantastic part too!

Great Story

Where does The Darkest Seduction rank among all the audiobooks you???ve listened to so far?

This book lived up to the same high standards as the other LOTUW. I have waited along time for Paris to get his story. It was nice to meet new characters as well.

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

There were way to many "wet" noises....spit, candy...I don't know what was making the noise but it took away from the performance.

Everything Is Awesome

I have been waiting so long for paris's story wondering if he'd get his Sienna and I am so so glad this was a very fast-paced energetic loving it was every book all wrapped into one in this one novel kind of like the first book of The Lord of the underworld. the other one I can't wait to see about is Torin story.

love it

Sex is easy. Love isn't.

Paris knows this because he knows his demon. He never ever gets hard for the same person twice. He, literally, sleeps with them and goes on his merry way, whether he wants to or not. He tried the relationship thing but it didn't work out. So imagine when he finally finds the one woman he could sleep with more than once, even though she happens to be the enemy! Sex - the demon of Promiscuity - doesn't really care.

Paris' journey started a few books ago and, up until his story got told, we got glimpses and scenes of how his life actually was, after the Sienna incident. He was, well, wrecked, for the lack of a better term. Miserable. Sleeping with other people, in order to keep his strength, was slowly eating away at him. Until he FINALLY gets to where Sienna is and manages to save her, with the help of Zacharel, the emotionless angel and William, the Ever Randy --- I really love that guy.

What can I say, other than all the man-whores out there, in literature, all the male-sluts and playboys that give up their philandering ways for the woman they love, are nothing compared to Paris, the Lord that houses the demon of Promiscuity? When the guy that needs to sleep with someone, anyone - because his demon does not discriminate - refuses to do so, if it's not the woman he loves, chooses to weaken and die, then cheat? Well, that, right there, is true freaking love and nobody could compete with that.

Besides Paris getting his HEA, we get a major boom in the story, one that changes everything. You'll see. We also get the start of Kane's story, just one short scene.

5 stars. Loved it. Love Paris.
