Lucien!

My most favorite book of Lords of the underworld! In my opinion Gena's best love story. And I just love Max Bellmore.

So conflicted

loved this story, loved the performance, hated how it ended! I'm all for the HEA, but I'm having MAJOR issues with giving up something so vital to your existence even after swearing not to. I truly did love this story, but I am so disappointed at the same time. maybe it's just me but she REALLY needs to get that key back. I almost don't want to read any more because it, but I have to find out what happens to the others at the same time.

Lucien is a beautiful contradiction.

Any additional comments?

This series just keeps getting better. Showalter does a great job creating a strong female character that is flawed and venerable too. In some books if the woman is physically strong she loses that vulnerability that makes her relatable. Anya is so many things wrapped into one person. I really like her. And Lucien??????. well he is her opposite in so many ways but they balance each other. I thought it was a nice change from the norm that it was the man with the insecurities about his physical appearance. He is a beautiful contradiction. He is completely confident in his strength and abilities to fight while he is unable to believe that any one could ever find him attractive. Watching the struggle with physical and emotional flaws is both entertaining and uplifting in this book. All of the characters in the book are so intriguing that I can???t wait to read their personal story.

Getting better

Liked this book much more than the 1st in the series where it seemed like overt half of the book the main characters kept repeating each other's names. very annoying! This one had a much better plot & was even interesting.
The rating I gave this book was a three, the performance a five, & the story a three. For sum reason it keeps bumping the rating up & wont let me take it off!

Still going strong!

Thank Gena Showalter! This blend of sci-fi, greek mythology, and passion is such a nice way to spend a weekend!

We were introduced to Anya in the last book....she is the Goddess of anarchy, and she has got it bad for the father type of the group Lucian...can he deny her, can they make it work, will either of them get over being stubborn to allow this things they have to grow....that's what the book is about.

We hear a bit about Danika, nothing definite yet, but promising. Paris gets his own little story line in here too, although I do hope the future looks better for him!

All in all the lust is hot, the sex is hotter, and I give in 4/5 yummy's. It only gets 4 because the I want him I don't want him, I want her, I can't want her....went on for far too long for my liking, and I thought the ending was a bit rushed, but I will for sure be getting book three right after this review!

Death can come for me.

So far the series is getting better and better. The only down fall is some of the side stories are left unfinished and I have to read the next one in series. It is such a hardship, especially since I have to wait for more creds. There is lots of arcing of the characters stories in each book so this is “a must read in order” type of series. Loved the characters in this book and am looking forward to the next.

good series

I really liked Anya and Lucien's story. He is such a tortured soul, but Anya just makes him sizzle. She is such a riot. You can't help but like her. She is full of fun and mischief. If you like LOTU, this is a must have.

Better than the 1st book.

I really like the overarching story. I don't know what it is about these books that just don't truly draw me in. This book Is better than the 1st. I guess mainly due to Anya's character who I found to be hilarious.

Is it the narration? I don't know. I can understand why some don't like it, but I can see why the Max gives the Lords such uninterested voices as these Lords have been alive for thousands of years and they've seen it all. At least that's the way I'm making up for it.

Overall 3.5/75 Stars. I will continue to listen to see how everything else turns out.
