Publisher's summary

Olivia thinks it's her lucky night when a dangerously handsome, unconscious fae ends up on her inspection table. He's her chance to redeem herself with her employer, the demon-hunting organization Archangel. But when the tall, dark, and deadly immortal warrior awakes, she gets much more than she bargained for....

Attacked by his enemy in the elf kingdom, the last thing Prince Loren expects when he comes around is a beautiful angel watching over him and medical technology of the mortal realm. Hazy from his injuries, all he can focus on is the pulse ticking in her throat and the sweet allure of her blood. One single bite reveals she is his eternal mate, triggering a bond between them that will leave him weakened until it is completed...or broken and pulling Olivia into the crossfire of his ancient feud. To protect his people and his mate from the machinations of a madman, Loren must risk everything by working with Olivia at Archangel to find a way to break the bond blossoming between them. But will Loren be strong enough to place duty before desire and give up the one thing he has waited millennia for and craves above all others - his eternal mate? And will Olivia be able to resist the incredible heat that burns between them and the temptation of her dark prince's kiss?

OMG! What horrible narration..

LMAO! The narration is laughable! The book describes the hero as having a deep voice, which would make sense for a six foot six guy, so you wouldn't expect him to sound exactly like a girl! This narrator didn't even attempt to try to lower her voice. No wonder she only has 4 books under her belt, and all the books are from this author and this series. She is absolutely terrible. Don't let the 3 and 5 star review fool you.

I gave the Overall and Story 3 stars to be fair to the author. I'll finish the book by just reading it, and post my review on Amazon and Goodreads.

Really love this series

If you could sum up Kissed by a Dark Prince in three words, what would they be?

Addictive hot alphas

What does Charlotte Wright bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Charlotte is great at capturing emotions

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes

Any additional comments?

I would of enjoyed it more if the characters didn't all have the same tone. At times Lorens voice is higher than Olivia. If I get distracted doing something and I missed who is talking I don't know if it's a male character or female. I would like the males to have a deeper sound to them so the guys sound more like the alphas they are and I can tell when a male character is talking instead of them all sounding like the same character.

EXCITING NEW PNR SERIES!!!

Felicity Heaton is a new author for me. I've been waiting awhile to purchase the first book, if I didn't like it I would return it but NO WAY is that happening. I loved this book. It's fast paced, no filler or lots internal dialogue here. It has mystery, suspense, angst, thrills, romance, and sex.

Felicity has created a comradery among the characters that gives you as a listener a sense of belonging....an investment in the characters and story.

The characters in this book are also in the next 3 books. As each book focuses on a main character the others help the main character even if it's sometimes reluctant.

I'm also thrilled that the whole series came out at once. I've listened to Kissed by a Dark Prince twice already and am now ready to move on to Claimed by a Demon King.

Is this book worth a credit...Absolutely!

Snore.

I was bored. I quit by chapter 2. Amateur writing. A lot of reiteration. Skip it.

Good book

I liked the book, but I think the narrator did not fit the parts she was reading for. I found it hard to listen to some parts and was honestly disappointed to find she narrates quite a few of the books. It makes me think twice about continuing the story. 😕

unique world, sexy alpha, and superb narration.

Any additional comments?

n the Eternal Mates series supernatural and humans coexist with the supernatural traveling between portals. The Elves are an ancient race and in Kissed by a Dark Prince, they are the ancestors of vampires. These vampires are an inferior race and are ruthless, twisted, and dark. In this story, we focus on the Elves, but Heaton has already hinted that other creatures dwell within these worlds. A human organization known as Archangel hunt supernatural creatures and are a bit of a mystery. Olivia works for them as a scientist studying these creatures.

While the romance is at the core of this story, Heaton offered us a complex world and plot that quickly draws the reader in. I loved that the world came to life in vivid colors around me as I listened. The author surprised me with twists and turns that kept me listening into the wee hours. While I want to learn more about the creatures that exist and more about the Archangel organization, I was delighted by this first in series. Secondary characters like Bleu, Sable and Throne were developed and already I am anxious for some of their stories
I am just going to put this out there, the romance begins with insta-love as Loren’s mating bond kicks in. Go ahead and groan but do not dismiss Kissed by a Dark Prince just yet. Their romance starts hot and heavy in the form of a dream, but then kicks down a notch as they work together and get to know each other. Olivia has some trust issues and her heart and body are saying one thing but her brain clearly remembers prior relationships and bad decisions. Heaton’s mating bond was unique effecting them on a physical level. I loved how Loren refers to Olivia as his k’iara. He is definitely an alpha from losing it when someone looks at Olivia to struggles with Olivia insecurities and denials. He has waited over forty centuries to find his mate and honestly, I was anxious for her to submit as well. Their chemistry was off the charts making this romance believable and one I quickly began rooting for.

Kissed by a Dark Prince was a strong beginning to the Eternal Mates series. The last quarter of the audio had me listening nonstop and I cannot wait to dive into Claimed by a Demon King. For those who listen to audiobooks, Charlotte Wright, a new to me narrator was delightful. From her soothing lilt to the different voices she created for each character. I was enthralled. I struggle more with female narrators finding them too breathy or fast paced, but Wright drew me in and I hope she continues with this series.

Great Start To A Great Series

I loved the way the story started with Olivia looking at Loran on her exam table. The story just got better. Eleves, demons, vampires, and humans with hugh egos who think they know more than any other species.
The love story is hindered by the fact that they both want to save each other by not being bound as fated mates. Add in the undercurrent of helping to save one brother while the memory of not being able to save another brother is woven throughout the story.
An epic battle ends the evil reign of a vicious witch. Who has used her gift to hold Loren's brother captive for 4200 years.
Loved the ending and allowing me to hear the first chapter of the next book. It peaked my interest and makes me want to hear the rest. Although I am sorry that Blue does not get a book in the first six books of the series. Peerhaps something happens to him in the second book. Can't wait to find out.

A prince and a scientist...

This is my first book by this author, one that my bestie said I had to read, and I enjoyed it! I can’t decide which character I like the most though. Haha. They’re all feisty and fierce. A growly Loren is hot. A sassy Olivia is funny yet, I liked her a lot. Let’s not forget Bleu and Sable. Both of whom, are the best ting and yang to their friends. Sable is my spirit animal. Lol

The story is massive. When I say that what I mean is, it’s a deep, invasive, complicated and all consuming story once you get into it. An elf prince on a mission to track down and dispatch his crazed brother. A scientist enamored with him. I’m danger because of him. I’m just with him. So much happening at one rime but they manage to keep their heads above water and make the bond they both fee grow, solidify and make them stronger!

I can’t wait to see how this progresses... it’s going to be a wild ride I’m sure!

Not bad

It wasn't so good that I couldn't put it down and it wasn't so bad that I couldn't finish. Overall an okay story. Don't see myself going back to it again though
