Publisher's Summary

Once upon a time, a historical romance author created a family....

But not just any family. Eight brothers and sisters, assorted in-laws, sons and daughters, nieces and nephews (not to mention an overweight corgi), plus an irrepressible matriarch who's a match for any of them.... These are the Bridgertons: less a family than a force of nature. Through eight best-selling novels, listeners laughed, cried, and fell in love. But they wanted more.

And so the listeners asked the author...

What happens next? Does Simon ever read his father's letters? Do Francesca and Michael become parents? Who would win in a Pall Mall grudge match?

Does "The End" really have to be the end?

Now, with The Bridgertons: Happily Ever After, Julia Quinn delivers eight sexy, funny, and heartwarming "2nd Epilogues" plus a bonus story about none other than the wise and witty matriarch Violet Bridgerton herself. So get to know the Bridgertons all over again - because Happily Ever After is a whole lot of fun.

I love those Bridgertons

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, if that person has read Quinn's Bridgerton books. Otherwise, this little collection would not make nearly as much sense.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Bridgertons: Happily Ever After?

Daphne's surprise late-in-life pregnancy.

What does James Langton bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

He is an awesome narrator! What a range of tones and accents. I tried to listen to one of the second epilogues when they first came out and the narration was so hideous that I could not finish even one, but James Langton has saved the day, as it were.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Not particularly. It just makes me smile fondly and sigh happily, visiting those wonderful Brigertons again.

Not My Favorite

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

I would have preferred different endings for some of the sections.

Would you ever listen to anything by Julia Quinn again?

Yes, her first Bridgerton book was very good.

What didn’t you like about James Langton’s performance?

I wish there was a female narrator for the female parts and a male for the male parts. Langton didn't do a very good female narration.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

It did answer a lot of questions left over from the earlier books.

Any additional comments?

The book has second epilogues for earlier Bridgerton stories. It was ok,but not riveting. I didn't care for the narrator. A female narrator would be better. The price of the ebook dropped but I didn't like the audio version enough to purchase it.<br/>

Disjointed stories

I agree with the previous reviewer -- if I remembered each of the novels in the Bridgerton series, I would be able to figure out the 'second epilogues' collected here. Instead the book reads (for me) as a collection of disjointed, albeit sometimes amusing, vignettes.

The narration is splendid. It is for that reason that I listened to the entire book.

Disappointing collection of epilogues

I thought this would be a story, but it's just a collection of epilogues. It's been so long since I read the books, that I don't remember the characters any more. I'll have to reread the entire series before this makes sense.

Men are better

Having listened to most of these books I much prefer a male narrator. Sorry ladies!

excerpts or endings from other books

If this book wasn’t for you, who do you think might enjoy it more?

I had nor realised that this book was just a collection of endings from the other books. I read some of the other books some time ago, and these "endings" dont work well for me.

Would you ever listen to anything by Julia Quinn again?

Yes, but i would make sure i was getting either complete short stories or a whole book

Which character – as performed by James Langton – was your favourite?

none - none of them had time to develop

You didn’t love this book--but did it have any redeeming qualities?

it might have been good if you had recently read all the books it links to
