Publisher's summary

When it comes to acting the gentleman with Miss Abbott, this marquess is damned if he does...and damned if he doesn't.

In this scorching-hot regency romance, the Marquess of Alastair has doubled the dowry he is providing Miss Abbott because the sooner she is married, the sooner she is out of his care - and his fantasies.

To Mildred Abbott's dismay, her dowry is now attracting numerous unwanted suitors, and she has no interest in marrying. What she wants is an encore of her night at the Ch'teau Debauchery, where Alastair once fulfilled her most decadent desires.

When just such an opportunity unexpectedly arises, Alastair concedes to her proposition on one condition: that she never again return to Ch'teau Debauchery.

But when their families get together for Christmas and Mildred is confronted with her true feelings for Alastair, will the Ch'teau Debauchery prove too great a temptation?

If you're looking to heat up your Christmas, start listening to Tempting a Marquess for Christmas today!

Advisory: Listening to the previous book, Submitting to the Marquess, is recommended but not required to enjoy this scorching-hot holiday story.

Tempting the Marquess

This is a continuation of Millie and Alistar’s dance of erotic pleasure and their desire to remain impartial to the debauchary that makes their hearts sing for one another. Despite their assertions that they could remain apart, they seem to think about one another too much for their last encounter to be only casual. When they meet again at a family function, Millie’s curiosity has Alistar agreeing to teach her more ways of a different kind of love, in truth, Alistar doesn’t think any man is good enough for Millie though he won’t make her his own. There are parts that I wish were expounded upon with validity to other men’s interest in Millie, but the dance between the main two kept me occupied well enough. :). The flow of the story was good as well as the reading with a good ending. :).

Another Good Audio

I found this audio to be another good one for me. There are secondary characters to the conspiracy of the story that helps it move forward. Millie and Andre spend some time together during Michaelmas at his aunt's house and renew their connection from the Chateau Follet but not everyone is happy about the intimate relationship they have and try to caution her. Alastair couldn’t avoid her though.

Wonderful

Delightful story line drew me in from the very start and the characters were so realistic that as I listened to each page, I was more engaged to know the truth between Andre and Mildred.

Steamy Story

They are just seeking pleasure. It is how Alastair and Millie met. Can it ever be more than a casual relationship? Can love that begins in one of the oddest places last a lifetime? Follow Alastair and Millie’s story to find out.

Em Brown’s narration was entertaining. The contrast between Millie’s laid back, seemingly complacent father and her panic-happiness filled mother is hilarious.

Tempting a Marquess

I recieved this book from the author for free and give my review voluntarily. I'm a big fan already of Ms. Brown's and I decided to listen to the story after reading the book myself I enjoyed both versions of the story. This version is tamer of them which is great, I however liked the more heated version. This will not however defer me from her other books. Keep at it I love the whole of it, plot, setting, charters, it's a must have.

More Than Just Sexual Desire

Millie and Alastair have something more than their pleasurable sex. They should know it by know. Millie knew Andre had nothing to offer but she refuses to be married to other because it had always been Alastair she desired. This is a very exciting story, a must-read.

Entertainingly Hot

This story is sexy and hot. To better understand the characters of the story, the prequal is also a good audio to begin with. But this story bares it all. Love this one! I couldn’t just stop listening.

terrible story and worse narration

What disappointed you about Tempting a Marquess for Christmas?

Everything was disappointing, but the summary should have given me the hint. It was my own fault for buying the book.

Would you ever listen to anything by Georgette Brown again?

no

Would you be willing to try another one of Em Brown’s performances?

She was the worse. I can only think she was related to the author, and that was how she got the narration job. She mispronounced words and had no appropriate accent for any of the characters.
I can't believe such an erotic book could be made so boring and uninteresting. There was no emotion or excitement. She read it like she was reading a lawnmower instruction manual.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Tempting a Marquess for Christmas?

All the scenes were made boring by the terrible narration, so I can't determine which were unnecessary.

Any additional comments?

This team of author/narrator are just not working. They should both rethink the pairing.
