Publisher's Summary

I fell in love with Manda Baker eight years ago, and I loved her to the core of her soul. We were supposed to have that elusive happily ever after and spend a lifetime together. But that was all before she was stolen from me. Her best friend, Sarah Erickson, killed her. It wasn't intentional. It was far worse. Everyone claims it was just an accident, but I can see through the lies. Even if it's with my dying breath, I will make her pay for what she did. Fate hates me. It robbed me of my first love and left me to navigate through this world emotionless and numb. Then, one day, spiteful fate gave me a woman to fill my shattered soul and make me feel again. It gave me Emma Jane Erickson. Now I spend my days searching for the answers that will ruin Sarah and my nights falling in love with her sister - the one person who is bound and determined to save her. But what happens when everything you know to be true explodes around you?

Un-put-downable!!!

Would you listen to Stolen Course again? Why?

Without a doubt I would listen to this story again. An absolute roller coaster of emotions.

What did you like best about this story?

I loved everything about this story. Every emotion known to mankind seems to be packed into these pages and the way it's told feels raw and hits you deep. I loved Emma's strength. She was a perfect match for Caleb and the fact that their journey to happiness was bumpy at best, brought even more depth to the story and the characters....everything felt real and honest. I just loved the entire story - start to finish!

What does Christian Fox and Lucy Rivers bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I have struggled with audiobooks in the past because I simply love to READ the words for myself but without a doubt this narration duo did a fantastic job and I listened to the entire book without reading a single word and it was not a struggle. They gave these characters life and brought forward every emotion. I literally wanted to stop what I was doing and sit and listen. The equivalent of being glued to the TV

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I think I'm still in shock at my reaction to this book. I laughed and I cried and I loved every minute of it. This book touched me deeply....more deeply than expected.

SUCH A SAD STORY WITH A HAPPY ENDING

Any additional comments?

I must say I am happy that I didn't listen to book one because it seems like that one does not end the way I would have enjoyed. Now this story was deep and full of road blocks but they figured it out with a lot of compromise and understanding. This was a heart jerker with some good nukie AND there is a twist....

Couldn't turn it off! Emotional!!!!

Where does Stolen Course rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This is the best audiobook I have listened to in a long time. What a great story. I enjoyed it from start to finish.

What did you like best about this story?

Emma and Caleb made a very interesting couple. They both fought for their relationship - it wasn't just one of them fighting. The story line was compelling. I couldn't shut the audiobook off. There were many twists and turns!

Have you listened to any of Christian Fox and Lucy Rivers ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have listened to both Christian Fox and Lucy River's performances before. I really enjoy both of them. Easy listening.

A PAIN FILLED BUT BEAUTIFUL SECOND CHANCE ROMANCE

This book follows on from book 1, although it does recap things and could be a stand-alone listen, IMHO, it's still best to be listened to after the first one. What a heartbreaking emotional journey these books take you on as it flips from present day then to 5 years prior when the accident shattered lives and stole so many hopes and dreams.

This book has plenty of heartache because the coming to terms with his loss, forgiving her sister and moving forward in his life seems too difficult a challenge for Caleb but he tries to give it his best shot. Luckily Emma is a strong, thoughtful and loving woman but will her love be enough to set him free.

This is such an emotional, heartbreaking and romantic story about second chances and the pitfalls and strength that's needed to make new and beautiful memories. There's tender, touching and romantic scenes, hot sex scenes, heart-to-heart scenes and bare your soul to the world scenes and beneath them all is a passionate love story that's got lots of sex, some dirty talk, plenty of drama and angst, a plot twist and a "you'll never see it coming" shocking revelation.

Dual P.O.V.'s and dual narrators who both did a great job.

Worth the credit? It does eventually get to the HEA of Caleb's and Emma's love story together and it gives a glimpse of what's happening in Brett and Jesse's lives from book 1.......so YES a creditworthy listen.

A Second Chance with so much more!!

For the second installment in the Wrecked and Ruined series, Author Aly Martinez WOWED me once again!!
This is Caleb's story and his second chance. There's a lot of unsettled grief and pent up anger. It's heartbreaking and tragic but a story that needs to be told. For so many years Caleb has held onto so much pain from the past, feeling unsettled and cheated.
A future he thought he would have was stolen from him with one tragic event.
This story is about Caleb learning to let go of the past to open his heart for a future. It's hard and it's sad, and for Caleb it's a constant struggle but when he meets Emma Erickson she fills that hollow place in his heart and makes him feel again for the first time in years.
I loved Emma and Caleb together. She stood firm and held her ground with him. She pushed him and made him face his demons. There were times in this book where I absolutely hated Caleb. For everything Emma did to make him see what he had right in front of him, he walked all over her and took it for granted. But she knew he loved her and just didn't know how to move on. So she gave him more than he really deserved. But in the end, it all came full circle and Caleb has to face his present which means choosing between his past or his future. It was hard to handle and definitely emotional.
I devoured this book in one sitting. Aly Martinez writes with so much passion and heart.
Her words drew me in and her characters had so much rawness to them that I became one hundred percent invested in their journey.
When an author can pull me in and make my reality fade when I'm in the depths of their story, I know they're an author that deserves the recognition for their talent. And Aly Martinez truly deserves all the praise for this beautiful and heartfelt story!
I listened to this on audio and definitely recommend!!
It's hard to find good narrators that can keep your attention but that was no problem here.
Christian Fox and Lucy Rivers did a FANTASTIC job!!!

Better than book 1!

What did you love best about Stolen Course?

Everything. I love Caleb and Emma. They are so perfect for each other. If book 1 (Changing Course) was great, this one knocked me off my feet! It's an emotional rollercoaster and I had to pause a few times to let all that happened sink in. The main characters are written so perfectly.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Stolen Course?

When all the pieces of the puzzle finally came together regarding what happened in the past. That was a pivotal moment in all their lives.

What about Christian Fox and Lucy Rivers ’s performance did you like?

I love Christian Fox and Lucy Rivers. Their performance were amazing, especially Lucy's. From the beginning to til the end, I love all of it.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The moment after the steak dinner. I feel for Caleb.

Any additional comments?

I rate books but I dont normally do reviews but with this series, I have to. It's a great story of two people who are willing to fight for their forever.

Just As Good As Book One!

This book continues the story that began in book one - be sure to start with that book. It is both tragic and tender, sad and humorous, haunting and romantic. I was immediately sucked in to the heartbreaking story of Brett, Sarah and Jesse. It's raw, gut-wrenching with tears, anger, humor, heartache, and of course, lots of sex. And in the end, it's all as it should be.

The dual narration was a good choice for this story. The narrators gave a solid performance.

I review for the Guilty Indulgence Review Site.

Phenomenal

loved this if I could give 6☆ I would.
A brilliantly planned story, enough angst and laughter peppered throughout. I really felt a vested interest in each of the characters. Often feel like the book ends too quickly, but this one unfolded a little more and I really got a more rounded experience because of it.I will definitely be looking at other books from this author.
